Just got my AP exchange certificate in the mail - question re activating

Just got my AP exchange certificate in the mail. I thought I could activate it at Guest Services at Downtown Disney.

The certificates I got say they are to be exchanged at one of the following tickets sales locations::

Epcot
Hollywood Studios
Animal Kingdom
TTC at MK


So - I take it I can't do it at Downtown Disney anymore? I really don't want to do it first thing in the am as we like to hit rope drop and I hate missing precious park time in the am.

We are staying offsite - so if I can't do it at downtown disney then which park would be best to go to try to activate it if doing it the evening of arrival? We won't have time to actually hit a park (flight gets in around 6pm), so I don't want to torture the kids any more than I have to by dragging them to a park entrance and not going in. I'm thinking maybe the TTC looks the "least" like the actual park entrance?

Or should I just suck it up and do it in the morning which is a park day? Do these booths open before park opening time?

1. You CAN do that.
2. Ignore that. The info has been sent out incorrectly for years.
3. You CAN go to either Guest Relations locations at DTD.

Yes you can go to Guest Services at Downtown Disney. There's also one outside the gates at MK, they don't mention that one either.

Okay thanks! Online it says RENEWALS of AP can be done at DTD, but does not list DTD for NEW passes...so wasn't sure if there was a difference

Nope.

This question has been asked and answered many times (for years) due to Disney's carelessness of not offering the full and correct information.

Yes.
That IS the information that is suppled by Disney:

(A "ticket sales location" is AKA a ticket booth.)

But, the problem is the info is incomplete, and doesn't specify all of the other locations that it can also be done.
