After a long drive home all day, were pretty tired! But I thought I'd give a few highlights of our trip. First of all we had a great time! I was really worried about the crowds, but honestly they were managable!
We arrived on Wednesday, but didn't go in the park. Spent the day swimming, and going to DTD. We LOVED the Tropicana Inn. Room was clean, pool and hot tub were nice. It was quiet. Carpet could have used a cleaning but it wasn't that bad. Excellent location, was glad we picked such a close place to stay. Only minutes from the parks. Which was great on my feet (which was hurting by day 2, until I got me some Mickey Crocs, those ARE comfy!)
Thursday we hit the parks. Nemo line was crazy our whole stay, probably 2 1/2-3 hour long the whole time. We didn't even attempt it until our EE day which was Saturday. We followed Hydroguy's rules and saw EVERYTHING we wanted to, and did all of our favorites many times over. We took it at a very nice pace, not rushed either.
Saturday morning for EE we were determined to see Nemo. DH went and got in line for EE before us, quite early. I'd say 45 minutes before EE. He was second in that line. We joined him and made the mad dash to Nemo. Walking quite fast! But not running, they were coming down on people for running! We were able to get on the second sub out that morning. They didn't open the ride right at EE opening, so all in all we waited maybe 20 minutes in line. Not bad considering the HOURS everyone else was waiting daily! We did like the ride, very cool. I wouldn't wait for more then an hour personally for it though.
Saturday we upgraded our 3 day hoppers to the Deluxe AP's. Ended up saving us about $240 on our tickets for our October trip! Plus were already talking about going in May next year too!
Love being AP holders now! And since today wasn't blocked out we decided to go in and spend the morning hours in DL before going home. We hit all our favorites in 2 1/2 hours!
The only not so good thing that happened on our trip was pirates breaking down, with us on it! Not just for a few minutes, we were stuck on it for an hour! This was Friday. They finally came and evacuated us from the boats. Which was interesting, got to see behind stage on our way out! Only problem for us was we were going on Pirates for a quick ride before checking in to the Blue Bayou for dinner! We ended up getting off the ride right at our scheduled time. Luckily enough we were seated at a water table with only a 5 mintue wait. I was shocked! Service was a little slow, but the food was great. We all had the Filet Minon. Made for a nice romantic Anniversary dinner!
Even though the ride was still broke down while we ate.
Gee my quick highlight has turned in to a dang trip report!
Even though were tired and glad our long car ride is over, were all missing DL! Can't wait to go back in October. Gotta go start the laundry and unpack my boat loads of suvies! I'd be happy to answer any questions!
