Hi. We just arrived home from four days at DL! WHAT AN AWESOME VACATION!
I just wanted to let you all know what's going on there!

1. BUZZ IS OPEN! And what a fun ride it is! We rode it three times!
2. Crowds were not bad at all. Go early-rest between 2-4pm and return for the evening. The longest line we waited in was 30 minutes for Autopia(our third time to ride).
3. Fantasmic was great but we won't pay to see it again. The dessert was ok but nothing to write home about.
4. Ride the monorail and ask to ride with the driver. My two year old thought that was the best ride we went on.
5. STAY IN THE RESORT for easy access and quick trips back to the hotel for rest and forgotten items.
6. Take your own stroller.
7. Eat at Goofy's Kitchen-one of the best meals we had.
8. Blue Bayou was not as good as I had expected it to be but if you want to eat there you better get priority seating reservations.

My not to be missed list not in any particular order(we rode them all-some multiple times):
Pirates of the Caribbean-my personal favorite
Enchanted Tiki Room
Dumbo
Peter Pan
Buzz Lightyear
It's A Small World
Astro Orbitor
Autopia
Matterhorn
Indiana Jones

Closures as of today:
Disney Railroad
Space Mountain-any employee told me this will re-open on July 15,2005.
Splash Mountain
Jungle Cruise

Have Fun!

What about DCA? Did you like that park? What were your favorites?
Thanks for the quick summary. I am so bummed the train is down, it makes traveling from land to land so easy....anyway, thanks for sharing :flower:

Sounds like a great time!
My son will be 21 months when we go - what rides did your 2 year old like the best? Was he/she scared on Pirates and Haunted Mansion? I'm trying to figure out what rides my son will enjoy! :)

Thanks!

Swimsral,

My DS was 20 months the first time I took him to DL; he is now 14, so it was a while ago, but I remember it like it was yesterday.

I did not take him on Haunted Mansion or any of the roller coasters that first trip, but I did take him on Pirates. He cried on Pirates, BUT only because he didn't want to hold my hand getting into the boat. Once he was on the boat, he was great. He hadn't discovered fear yet, so none of the rides frightened him. His very favorite ride was the skyride, but sadly, that is gone now. (He liked being up high!) Of course, he loved Small World and the Carousel, but he really seemed to like everything. Undoubtedly though, the most memorable experiences were the Electric Light parade and the character interactions. Watching the parade, his eyes were brighter than all the lights combined. He was timid with the first character or two, but soon he was running up to every character that he would spot, tackling them with his hug!
