We're back from a wonderful trip! We were at the Magic Kingdom on Saturday the 12th, and although there were a lot of people there, the lines were not longer than 20 minutes for anything. As far as crowds go, our worst day was Sunday the 13th at Animal Kingdom.
The rest of the week we more or less walked on to all of the rides (except Soarin' and Test Track at Epcot, which we fast-passed several times each).

Our favorites were as follows:

Me - The World Showcase
My Mom - Soarin'
DH- The Lion King Live
DD13 - Aerosmith Rock N Roller Coaster
DD8- Mission Space
DD8- Soarin'
DD4- Tower of Terror !!!!!!!!! (In the photo we are all screaming and she has a huge smile on her face...we had to ride it three times with her)

Food was good...we were on the dining plan and there was so much to eat that I have not had the courage to weigh myself. DH did and he is actually up 9 pounds from when we left!!!
On top of the dining plan, I made it a point to try most of the foods that were listed on the favorite food thread on here. We all loved Dole Whip! Thanks for that one. I also LOVED the Main Street Bakery. I ate the banana bread pudding from there and it was, by far, my favorite thing.
Leaving the extra's out, our favorite things that were available on the dining plan were:
Me - Mickey waffles with strawberry topping
DH- Cheesey hashbrowns at Princess breakfast
My Mom - Garlic Mashed Potatoes at Hollywood & Vine
DD13 - Chocolate Chip Cookies
DD8 - Chocolate cake dessert at Biergarten (can't remember the name of it)
DD8 - S'Mores at Prime Time Cafe
DD4 - Cinnamon Ice Cream at San Angel Inn (Mexico)

What we learned.....next time we are going to plan in a few days to hang out at our hotel and relax. We went non-stop and it was to much. Also, it stinks that my thirteen year old had to eat from the adult menu. That created a lot of problems. And finally....next time we will fly. 16 hours in the car almost put me over the edge. :Pinkbounc

Any questions....comments?

Wow it sounds like you had a great trip. Have you ever been in Sept? I am just wondering what the crowds were like last week compared to a week in Sept. We usually go then, but I would love to try the week before thanksgiving. Was any xmas decorations out? I have got to go to the MK bakery also YUM!

I loved reading your report. I think I put on a pound just reading your favorites. (I know, I just want someone to blame!)

No..I have never been there in September, so I can't answer that question. I can tell you though, that the Christmas decorations are out and they are beautiful! Each park has it's tree out, the wreaths, and so on. The countries in Epcot are gorgeous! Not to mention, that I have never seen anything like the Osborne Lights at MGM...and they are making it snow using soap bubbles! The magic of Disney amazes me. :teeth:

I think I will go that week next year. It sounds so fabulous. I think my kids would love the "snow". We live in Louisiana, so we hardly ever see any kind of snow.

how was the weather ... we leave for the world in nineteen days and I am so worried about what to bring ... warm or cool or cold ...
Thanks for any in put and thanks for the trip report

Did you guys wear shorts during the day or was it too cool for that?

Thanks

We were there this week, too. I generally had on shorts/short-sleeve shirt during the day, with a sweatshirt at night. I am hot-natured, however. Others had on long pants, jackets at night -- especially towards the end of the week when temperatures dropped about 10 degrees (mid 70's highs vs. mid 80's).

Frankly, I would have preferred the 70's weather all week.

Wow! Glad you had such a great time!!! You have no idea how jealous you just made me reading that!!

Glad you had fun and thanks for the awesome review!

Glad you are back home safely and sounds like you had a great trip! I agree about the flying thing. We have only driven once (in 2003) with a DD13, DS7 and DD 4 and all's I can say is KEEP THOSE DINGS COMING!! I never want to drive AGAIN!!!
