I got home last night and wanted to give my fellow Disers a recap of the week MommaBear and I spent in the most Magical Place on earth.
Arrived on Saturday 9/26... hot, hot, hot...
CROWDS: The crowds were managable and the waits were 20 min, 'cept for some E-ticket rides that were in the 35-40 min during the middle of the day. I can't stress enough arrive at rope drop, we got so much more done.
I also noticed that TS dining in parks was very difficult to come by. Many days there were signs stating that there was no TS dining to be had in the parks. This was at MK.
We rarely had to deal with difficult folks. For the most part everyone we chatted with was very friendly and eager to strike up a conversation. We were offering to take photos left and right and people seemed to appreciate the kindness. (I only hope their photo comes out...
)
ADR'S: We had ADR's and were seated quickly with one exception... Crystal Palace. The wait was about 1 hour after our ADR, and we checked in early.
Uggh! I've always enjoyed the food at CP, but for this trip we were very dissappointed. Not sure if it was the wait, or the selection, or something else. But MommaBear and I agree it wasn't what we were used to...
But all other ADR's were great. Tusker House (2x), Chefs de France, Tutto Italia, Kona Cafe, Biergarten... All very yummy and would gladly go back.
Lots and lots of food on the DDP. MommaBear and I ended up sharing most of the counter service meals, which made the food last even longer.
HOTEL: We stayed at POFQ. This is a great resort. I appreciated the compact feeling, we were no more then a 5 minute walk to busses, food court, pool, boat ride to DTD. Mousekeeping was good, although MommaBear and I are pretty easy to clean up after. Leave clean towels & soap and take the trash.
I'd hate to admit this... but I was ready to come home after 5 days. I guess I'm moving over to the group of people that would rather more frequent, shorter vacations over one long jam-packed one.
I'm debating writing a trip report
... got lots going on in the next few weeks... so I'll play it by ear.
Any questions?
