Just Got Home from a GREAT concert

We saw Aerosmith, Kid Rock, and Run DMC. It was great. Since I'm a Detroit native, I was really there mostly for Kid Rock. He put on a great show. I enjoyed seeing him more than Aerosmith - but they were pretty good, too. Joe Perry is still as hot as ever!!

Yes I can still hear - my ears were ringing for awhile (we were very close to the front) but my hearing is still intact. Its funny you should ask that. We live just a few miles from the Pavilion where the concert was held. There are tons of concerts there all summer long, but 2 that come every summer are Jimmy Buffet and Aerosmith. Of all the concerts, these 2 are the only ones that we can ALWAYS hear from our house! There are VERY loud. We took earplugs, which DH used, but for some reason I never put them in. I guess it's just the head-banging teenager in me that wants to hear it all and damage my hearing.

Hey Tina - I just saw them last nite!!! What an AWESOME show. Run DMC only did 3 songs, but were OK. Kid Rock ROCKED (but Aerosmith is still my fav) !! We are going back tomorrow night for the 2nd and final show.
This week was crazy.
1) I broke my toe friday night (seems there's alot of that going on) - kept off of it so I would be ok for last night - After dancing all night it hurts again
2) Ended up going to see Jimmy Buffet Tuesday night
3) Aerosmith Wednesday night
4) Aerosmith Friday night
5) The Who Saturday night.

The best part of it was seeing Steven Tyler singing Dream On in the rain (yep - it rained his whole concert). Best I have ever seen him. I can't wait for tomorrow!

Joe Perry is totally HOT! When he took off his shirt, oh la la

Kid Rock was awesome! What a great entertainer he is.

I am so excited to hear about this show.

I dialed for an hour and a half this past Thursday night to get tickets to the Tampa show in October - on the "Aeroforce 1" club line...

We're supposed to have Run DMC and Kid Rock at our show, too - so Run DMC didn't do a full set? I've never been one much for rap - but I really enjoyed them in high school... They were actually at my Grad Night at the MK! Oh well - just to see them do Walk this Way with the band will be awesome!!

We saw Aerosmith in Tampa at the beginning of the Just Push Play tour. If you also saw them on the first leg - how did their song set compare?

Thanks for the info - I'm really excited now! We're leaving WDW to come back into town to catch their show!

And don't forget - the "Behind the Music" episode featuring Aerosmith debuts this Sunday night at 9:00. You can catch a 6 minute clip of it on the VH1 website!! Although - I must admit - it made me a little sad to see Joe Perry in that jacuzzi tub with his wife!!

The set they played the other night was very different the the Just Push Play from last year (yep, went to that one too). It was like a Greatest Hits concert with a couple new ones thrown in (Girls of Summer, a new bluesy song sung by Joe Perry) Was kind of dissapointed that they did not do Mama Kin, but they can't fit everything in. I am hoping they might change the set around a little tonite - you never know.

Can't wait for Sunday night - already have the vcr set up with a blank tape.

The rain was a little annoying, but I really didn't mind it - at least it was torrential rains like yesterday. Daisydeb - where were you sitting? We had awesome seats. Even got my camera in to take some pics, but the flash wasn't working correctly

Gotta run - Steven and Joe come out in 2 hours!

Hmmm... they did Momma Kin for us last week. I'd say 90% of the music was the old stuff - which I prefer. I really don't like the Top 40 stuff they've been doing for the last 20 years. At our concert, they had a 2nd stage up on the lawn (pavilion show) and they did 3 songs out there. They actually walked (with a HUGE entourage) through the crowd do get there.
