Just got Hilton Walt Disney World for $71 in Oct!

They require total payment at the time you make your ressie but they do allow cancellations just read what the penalties are. They guarantee bedding for the number of guests you enter at time of booking. I called to verify that. (Unlike Priceline) You can certainly put in a special request on the final confirmation page. I called the Hilton to make sure they had my ressie & they had me down for two beds which is what I asked for. Not sure about hidden fees question. I knew Hilton charged $13 per day for parking & not resort fees so I didn't think to look for that on the website. :)

even so that's a great rate for the hilton! if i have the time i'll call the #800 listed on website & ask re cancellation & resort fees, figure they will (i typically deal with hotwire to be sure to get 2nd bed when my kids are along & they always make sure to let you know re any sort of fees before final purchase)

appears as though the cancellation/modification policies vary widely, def need to check & read as you suggest:thumbsup2

WDW hotel policy:

Hotel cancellations or changes made 5 day/s prior to check in time (Noon local hotel time), will be subject to 1 night/s fee

no show is subjected to 1 night/s fee

DTD hotels varied by property, for what appears to be the doubletree suites:

Hotel cancellations or changes made 3 day/s prior to check in time (noon local hotel time), will be subject to 1 night/s fee.

No show subject to 1 night/s fee.

This reservation is not amendable. Please cancel and rebook if you need to amend after booking...(more forgiving than hotwire or priceline, still you'd get stuck with 1 night fee if wanting to modify or cancel within 3 days)

enjoy! thanx for posting

lol thanx for the hint, i've skipped over this booking site several times over the years, cannot believe i never bothered to click on the photos:guilty:

did a search last night & up popped the POP icons for one of the hotels

hope we can find a deal this summer pre or post cruise

questions

*if there are 'hidden' resort fees do they appear @ final payment page or do you pay the hotel directly upon checkin?

*once booked, can you contact the hotel directly to make bedding requests (i.e. a King bed)? Asking as the CBR appears as a special, but doesn't indicate the bedding configuration, wonder if you can pay upcharge for the King?popcorn::

Our 'hidden' fees didn't pop up under our accepted price. The price on the side listed $71. and that's what we were charged for. However, you'll see the extra fees when you go to the hotel's website. I knew about the parking fee, but to me, it still made our hotel stay a steal!!

Not sure that they recommend it, but that's exactly what I did!! I gave it a couple of days (because on your receipt it says it may not show under the hotel's reservation system until it gets closer) and then I emailed Hilton. Said I was booked under LMT.com, but my ressie wasn't showing. Just wanted to verify that you accepted them as an agent and that I indeed had a (and then gave them a description of what I thought I booked) 2 room 2 bed room. They sent me their confirmation, with my 2 beds noted and was exactly what I expected! In fact, I told them this was a celebration and they noted that too! So we shall see!!!

Good luck everyone!:thumbsup2

I'd like to thank the op and everyone else for posting.I was just able to book the Hilton Downtown Disney for $79 per night for my upcoming May trip. This is going to save me a ton of money.I've been wanting to try this hotel for awhile now.:)

Hey everyone!! Just another tidbit for you...
When I got my confirmation from Hilton, it said I could upgrade to another room for $18. or more depending on what I wanted! I didn't really want an upgrade, but how nice if I did! For $71 a night, it's exactly what I wanted. You can even friend them on facebook and see more amenities!!It'll be interesting popcorn::seeing what deals everyone gets on LMT!

I'm really excited about our stay! For everyone staying before us, let us know how it was!

Happy travels!

I got Bonnet Creek for $80.00 a night in June!!!! Thanks for posting the link. I had sent some requests to some time share owners and the best they could promise this far out was $160.00 a night so I am THRILLED!

I do know there's $13.00 a day parking fee and I even read on trip advisor that BC charges for the inner tubes in the lazy river another $5.00??? Is that correct? Anyone ever stayed at Bonnet Creek? My DH is now fearful we will be nickled and dimed and the over savings will be a wash??? I would be surprised if that is true b/c so many Disers rave about BC??? Anyone know for sure about this???

Does anyone know if UK users can book through the USA site? The rates seem much cheaper than on the UK one!
x

ive booked on the us one before scrool to the bottom of the page and click us site and it takes u there just book as normal x

I'm almost positive you are confusing the Wyndham Bonnet Creek timeshares (no parking fee, no lazy river charges, massive 2 BR condos, $160-ish) with the Hilton Bonnet Creek hotel (parking fee, resort charges, occassional $80 reservation found).

The Bonnet Creek that Dis-ers rave about is the Wyndham. I think you have booked the Hilton BC for $80. Apples and Oranges.

HRH of Epcot :wizard:

I have stayed at both the Wyndham bonnet creek and the Waldorf Astoria. There is no charge for the tubes for the lazy rivers at the Wyndham. While I was at the Waldorf I walked over to the adjoining Hilton Bonnet Creek. They were "selling" the tubes for $13 over there for your stay or $5.00 per use. The lazy river at the Hilton was a lot larger than the two at the Wyndham.

Thanks, I am staying at the Hilton Bonnet Creek so I guess I will be buying one of those tubes or bringing one from home/Walmart!
I was really confused about the two Bonnet Creeks:confused3:confused3 but now I know which one I have....it looks super nice...
Any other tips from anyone staying at the Hilton Bonnet Creek???

I think you will be pleased with this Hotel! It looks gorgeous! If you booked through last minute travel you can call the Hilton & have them send you a confirmation directly from Hotel and they will send you some really nice upgrade options if you choose to upgrade at checkin. You will need to let them know it's tourico travel that made the reservation. For some reason they don't recognize last minute travel's name in their system. They do not have a resort fee just parking $13 per day. I think you will pay $10 a night for internet access if you want that. Otherwise, there should not be any other charges that I am aware of. Have a great trip!!:cheer2:

just wanted to come back & post my experience with LMT:thumbsup2

I was able to book the Westgate in Myrtle Beach for 5 nights before the 4th of July for a standard room at total cost of $178!
I called Westgate directly to confirm the next day (mostly to make sure I didn't have to sit thru the timeshare spiel lol) & was informed not only did they have my reservation in their systems, but I was upgraded to an OF room:dance3:

Comparsion sake: the room is almost $1,000 on Westgate's website! I saved over $800, enough to pay for most of our other expenses during the trip!!!

FYI: my CC was charged a $5.xx foreign transaction fee though:confused3, separate from the bid amount. Not sure if it came from the hotel's end or LMT.

Wow!!! Congrats! Even though you were charged $5.oo that is great!! Not sure if that's your end or not...don't believe I was charged that amount, but gonna go back and check. Could be your cc's account, as my cc verified it out of Israel with me, and them, and all was fine. Their billing system is in Israel...weird huh?

But WOW!!!:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

thanks, the 2nd charge could be due to the CC used. i used one w/small limit to avoid hassles jik an unfortunate issue arose.

i did a bit of sleuthing, LMT is large international company owned by by Tourico Holidays, Inc., a subsidiary of Travel Holdings, Inc. They also own easyclicktravel. They're not as big as a hotels.com type of player and state that they deal in "request reservations" -- the room is on request -- and you might have to wait several hours to obtain an e-mail confirmation of the actual reservation. I did receive 2 sequential emails from them though, one for the purchase & an immediate confirmation.

I'll def use them again:). Noticed they have the WDW properties listed, not @ any great rate for my dates, but i'll sure keep monitoring the site.

How was your stay at Hilton Downtown? And your process with LMT? Just looking for a few updates! Hope it was great!:thumbsup2

I am so glad I found this thread discussing Last Minute Travel. We are looking at an all Orlando attractions vacation(including Legoland) at the beginning of June 2012. So this will our first time staying off-site from WDW. For right now I am gathering all the hints & tips on using all the discount popular travel websites. I wanted to stay right under $100 per night with parking fees but The Hilton Bonnet Creek is being listed on LMT for our week at $119 & (I know about the $13/ day parking fee). That might be too good to pass up but we should wait until at least Jan. to book. But this thread did put me to ease if I do decide to try LMT even if another hotel comes up in the future.

:thumbsup2 Keep watching and also sign up for their newsletters! Periodically, you'll get an email announcing their deals! And our trip is 43 days out...so, after we get back, I'll try to post on here how it was! Good luck!:goodvibes

When you are on LMT website and you want to see the name of the hidden hotels just click on "Book It" then add any activity and hit "Continue Booking". I noticed it actually shows you the name of the hotel;)
