Hey guys, thanks for all the comments. I'm in an odd position... My work is called "permalance" which is a stupid buzz word that pretty much translates into "you don't get any kind of benefits, at all, ever." It's basically freelance work except you're supposed to be guaranteed a new project once your current project ends... My position is bad because they ended my run short, so I should have been on this project until the fall, then switched to a new one, well now there aren't any new projects for me so I'm out of the job all together. Does that make sense? Well anyway, it's bad because I couldn't claim anything like unemployment and I don't get health insurance or anything to start with since I'm technically working freelance for the company and not a full employee. That's how it works with almost all the people that work here. It's mean but the jobs are so sought after they can get away with it.
It's not technically being fired, I know, but it's not technically laid off either... I guess just "terminated" is the best way to put it. Either way I'm back on the job hunt!
Thanks for the kind words! Hopefully it won't take too long to find a new position (in this same company or out of it).
