Just got Disney Visa card, have ?

I have a disney card and eventually you will get special discounts in the mail. We used ours a few months ago and got the free upgrade to water parks & more AND discount room rates.

I have a trip booked with AAA, if I pay my balance with AAA on my Disney Visa will I be able to take advantage of the 0% financing for the 6 mos?:confused3

I think it has to be directly booked with Disney.

Thanks teedisney. I will be paying this in a few weeks and want to make sure that I can take advantage.:cool1:

I just got my Visa card and I wanted to know if I pay for gas and groceries with the card do I have to wait any amount of time before I pay it off out fof my checking account to get the points. Example: If I buy gas and groceries on Wednesday can I pay it off on say Saturday or is that too soon. I want to pay it off each month. Does any of this make sense?:confused3

Thanks for any help or tips you may have in using this.

Okay, I was just talking to a Disney visa card customer service person a little while ago. He said my first payment date would be July 16(I didn't want it early in the month). I thought that seemed awfully far away and I asked if I could make payments before that and he said I could make payments on my account anytime I want to! Good for keeping track and paying it off right away! I also asked if I could pay anything with it and he said you can use it anywhere they take Visa and you will earn reward dollars, so that's cool, too. I'm going to pay everything with it, even my real estate taxes next week, then pay it off! I could even pay my mortgage, but I don't have one.

The one thing I can't pay which I don't like too much is my other chase visa card! That's a bit irritating. Now, I could switch any card balance over for 0% interest for 6 months, but my main thing I have is on another chase visa so that's not too helpful. I wonder if I get a cash advance if I could use that to pay non-disney chase card? How would they know where you got the money if you got a somewhat different amt? Plus, is there a money transfer charge? Probably won't work.

Oh well, so far, since I got the card activated last sunday, I have paid for everything with my disney card, only about $10 cash, so I'm hoping to build up good rewards paying everything! Sometimes I think, oh that will hardly be anything, but, adding up lots of little bits will get rewards if I pay everything this way! Anyone else do this and have it work well?

On the subject of Disney VISA, we are going to request a credit limit increase. I noticed on the form they ask how much you would like your credit limit to be. We have had our Disney VISA for over a year. Does anyone know how high the credit limit can be on Disney VISA? We are trying to look to the rest of 2008 and 2009 when we are planning a couple of trips, along with the regular things (gas, groceries, etc.) we use the card for, so want to make sure we make an adequate request.

Thanks!

I want to preface this by saying, we have a total of 5 Disney visas that we pay off every month, sometimes I make payments twice in a month. We own our business, charge materials. One started off with a $2000.00 limit that I just requested a increase to $8000. and it was granted, this was for my son, We have the other 4 that have around $14000-16000. Before anyone freaks, remember I said, "we charge material and pay it off twice a month." If, it was a personal card, I would not have a limit like that. I want to say also, if you are one day late, they will Jack the interest rate on you immediately! There have been many posts in the past on this. Be careful with this. I always pay online and set my payments up ahead of time. I do not want to ever miss one. I hope this gives you the guideline you were looking for.

You can pay your card as soon as it shows on your online account. I pay mine twice a month.

I love my disney visa so far. Its the only card I payoff online and love that I can acess it anytime and pay it. I got mine at the end of april and so far i have 30.00rewards. I would have had more but i use my citi bank rewards for groceries, gas and drugstore I'm almost ready tto get a 50.00 check from them.. Even though disney is only 1% , it seems like i earned money on it faster than my citi bank and i've had that card longer:confused3

I love my Disney Visa - I got it when our twins were born in 2001 to start saving for the trip we took this past January. We had over 1000 points accumulated by then and used it to pay for the DDP and souveniers, etc. It was GREAT to have those points to use!

We use it for everything and pay it each month (gas, groceries, etc). BUT...even though I've had it for 7 years, I have NEVER received the special "promos" for 5 times your points!!!

How can I get on that list?????

I don't know if there is a list but maybe since you are already using the card so much they don't think that they have to offer it to you. I really had only used mine once in a while and this year received both of the 5 x's offers. I didn't do the Jan Feb Mar one, but did sign up for the A M J one. Just a thought.
