We just got back Tuesday night after 7 fun days in Disney. We had a good time and listened to a lot of the tips and advice about taking different items to Disney and found that we didnt use half of it. We were on the dining plan and you are well fed and really do not need any additional snacks unless you just snack alot. We didnt even use all of our snacks on the meal plan because we ate so much for lunch and dinner. I did use the deodorant on my feet with success. One day after it rained I noticed a red spot on my foot and put moleskin on it and was fine the rest of the trip. I just recommend taking the essentials and if you get sick or need something to get it there. We just found that we had way too much stuff that we didnt use. Of course we also packed a combination of clothing due to not knowing what the weather would be and didnt really use any of the long sleeve and pants. We could have gone with one less suitcase. Had a great trip. Just pack what you need.

Thanks for your info! I am glad you enjoyed your trip :sunny: . I really wish I could just pack light and go! I have planned on just taking carry-ons this time though. That is a big step up for us!

Don't kick yourself for packing too many clothes. I always think it is much easier to travel in the hot hot summer or the cold cold winter. When it's in between, you're in a quandry!

Do try to pack light. We packed way too much - not only clothes but just in case medicine, stuff for easter, small things for my son like bubbles, small toys for in line, etc. that we had read about on the site. It sounded good in theory but really we did not need it or use them. Also, another good tip I read about on here was to pack a small bag within your suitcase just in case you need it at the Orlando airport. That tip saved us $80. I had a small duffle bag folded up in my suitcase and at the airport they told me my luggage was 17 lbs over the weight limit and it would be an $80 charge if we didnt have a way to reduce the weight. Luckily I had that duffle bag to pull some clothes out of the suitcase and put in. The weight limit at our airport is 70 lbs per bag but at Orlando it is 50 lbs. If you do pack light I would throw in a small bag of some sort for souvenirs, etc. just in case you run into that at the airport.

I tend to pack light, but I will always pack the "just in case" medicine. Last trip, DD was stung by a bee at Epcot. They won't give Benadryl at the first aid station. The redness and swelling didn't go down so I had to buy Benadryl at the gift shop. It was $9.00. I almost passed out. I take everything now. We are the type of family that likes to get sick in the middle of the night when everything is closed too. I will pack less clothes and takemy traveling medicine cabinet.

Thanks for the report. Good tips. I am trying deperately to get the family to pack light. We will have a washer/dryer which makes clothes packing that much easier.....I bag per person. Keeping fingers crossed.
