Just got back from 2 nights at CR and 4 nights at All-Star Sports. Did all the parks, Water parks, Disneyquest, and found some new secrets to getting 999,999 on Buzz Lightyear. Also, ate at some new places, highly recommend Trails End Buffet at FW, and the BRITA water bottles that are $7 at Wal-Mart are great and takes out that taste that most of the drinking fountains have. Any and all questions, please feel free to e-mail and ask away. I will try to post a trip report very soon.

Had a great time and can't wait till we go again. Oh, we did not have to break out the rain ponchos at all during our entire stay. When it did rain, we were inside an attraction or shops or eating. That is a shock.:p

1. How were the crowds?

2. Did you use EE and how were those crowds?

3. What new places did you eat at?

4. How hot was it really (deg.)?

5. Did you ride Mission Space? Did you like it if you did?

6. Was Fast Pass running well?

Thanks!

Hi! Welcome back! Glad you had a great trip! I'd also like to know if you went on Mission Space. Also, did you see my favourite waiter, Donnell, at The Trail's End buffet??? He's such a hoot! ;)

oooh, what are the new tips for buzz??? every year i try to beat dh and every year i fail. :p

Welcome back... let us know how the crowds were and and if you had any other good meals. (still looking for ideas)

>>^..^<<

1. How were the crowds?

We did not think the crowds were that bad. We decided before we went that we were not going to sit and wait for parades, so when everyone was waiting, we rode the rides. Peter Pan was the only fast pass needed in the MK. TOT and RRC were needed for at MGM, TT at EPCOT was needed.

2. Did you use EE and how were those crowds?

We did not use EE, in fact we went to another park that did not have EE on that day. That seemed to work out well because DS (13 years old) does not move to fast in the morning.....teenager ya know.

3. What new places did you eat at?

Garden Grill in EPCOT...excellent steak that was marianated in Terraki sauce, fried catfish, baked chicken, and vegies. Trails End Buffet (best deal at WDW....lunch is $8.99 for adults and $16.99 for dinner). The only difference between the two is dinner adds ribs, shrimp, and pizza to the menu with some other vegies. The lunch had fried chicken, turkey meat pie, mac & cheese, salad stuff, chili, 3 bean soup, and desert stuff. The best part was that it was very quite, not very crowded, very relaxful, and the food was all you can eat and was VERY GOOD. For lunch, you get 10% off your meal with an AP or PAP Mon-Fri.

Rain Forest Cafe at AK was very good and you also get 10% similar to what you get at Trails End Buffet.

BEST SNACK.......PINEAPPLE DOLE WHIP FLOAT in the MK. Cross over the bridge towards Adventureland and it is on the right. The best snack food at WDW I feel.

To cut costs a bit, we ate at the fast food places right next to the Downtown Disney Hotels. Nothing outstanding there, just typical Taco Bell and McD's.....the best part of that was the price. I would do it if you have the transportation.

4. How hot was it really (deg.)?

It was hot, high 80's low 90's with plenty of humidity. But that is no big deal to us, when you get hot, just duck into a shop or attraction and cool off. Go out to Wal-Mart and get those Brita water bottles (you find them next to the water treatment stuff that you can hook up to your kitchen sink). Follow the directions that is in the bottle, and you not have that bad taste that seems to be in most of the drinking fountains. Another place to cool off and get all you can drink is the Coca-Cola station in EPCOT. My fav is China's Watermelon.

5. Did you ride Mission Space? Did you like it if you did?

Did not get on Mission Space. I was told by a CM that it is only open when Hewlett Packard tells them they can open it. The official soft opening is Aug. 15 I believe.

6. Was Fast Pass running well?

Fast Pass was working great and I just can't believe people don't take advantage of this perk. Plan your day well, get into the parks and get the fast passes right away and then go and do other things and come pack when your ticket tells you. You will get the most of your day if you do use fast passes. There is always a CM at the stations if you have any questions.

We had Bob as our waiter at the Trails End Buffet. He was great as I am sure Donnell was. If you have a couple of hours to just take a nice boat ride over to FW from the CR, it sure does slow you down and gets you out of the breakneck speed that sometimes is easy to get into at WDW.

Now for Buzz and how to get a score of 999,999. When you enter into the first room, there will be a robot on your left side with it's arms going up and down. On each arm, there is a target. Go for the target on the left arm. When hit, you get 100,000 points each time. The person sitting on the left side of the car has the best angle. Other than that, go for any target that moves or is farthest away from you. Not sure on this one, but towards the end of the ride on the right side, Zurg is in a space ship and there is a target at the bottom of the ship that when hit, the "flame" spins and we think it is another target that gives BIG points.

Have fun with this one and if there is a E-Ride night and you are staying on grounds, spend the extra $12 per adult, cause you will ride Buzz over and over and over again.

:smooth:

I didn't realize Trails End gave an AP discount. That makes it an even better deal. Thanks for the info!

Just curious..........is Bob (your waiter from Trail's End) a gentleman that is REALLY curteous and nice with brown hair? There's one waiter there that is always VERY friendly and nice and he makes me smile on every visit!

CK, your description fits Bob to a "T". He was always there when needed and told some of his....as he calls them.....very corny jokes. For our drinks, he gave us smaller 'pitchers' of Coke and a big pitcher for refills for our dinner. He was great.

Bobcat, just to make sure there is no miss-understanding, the AP discount is only for lunch and it is Mon-Fri. For $8.99 with a 10% off discount, you get a quiet, relaxing all you can eat fried chicken and all of the fixin's. By far, the best deal at WDW. According to Bob, our waiter, the food for the dinner buffett comes from the same kitchen that serves the Hoop-de-doo-revue right next door.......only for about $25/person cheaper. That too is a great deal and the ribs are to die for.

thanks for the buzz tips. we plan on doing at least one e-night (hopefully 2). i am bound and determined to beat dh! LOL

That's the same way they offer the AP discounts on lunches at Epcot. I have never used it at one of the resort restaurants and was suprised that Trails End offered it. Their food really is good.

There's a list of the resort restaurants where you can get the 10% AP lunch discount here on Deb's site. Just scroll to the WDW Dining section.

Thanks so much for the tips. We'll be at FW in two weeks, and I hadn't given much though to TRail's End. Sounds like a great alternative if on one of my "cooking nights" I don't feel like it!

Also, I'm hoping to beat DH at Buzz, now, too!
