literally...about an hour ago....was there since friday...got to ride nemo on friday...they did a soft opening to the public just for that day for a few hours...sat and sun was strictly for media...sunday seemed to be a bigger deal ...they closed off pretty much all of tomorrowland at noon for it...they used the stage at tomorrowland terrace and blew up white balloons and had hanging jellyfish...really cute:cutie: the ride is great...they do make a reference to the old ride...brought back some good memories of them:goodvibes but nemo ride is very very cute...loved it!!!...they expect lines to be 3 and 4 hours long for the next few days...I couldnt believe how far they stretched the queue...all the way back to Matterhorn...im glad we lucked out and got to ride it because theres no way I would wait 3 or 4 hours....Im going to do a TR but right now im pooped...if you have any questions about anything let me know...i will try to answer as quick as possible:goodvibes

Glad you got to ride Nemo! We are steering clear of that ride and area for this trip! We leave in the morning from Turlock. You are from that area as well? How long is the drive? And is 99 the same as I-5?

I live in merced....i posted on your other thread about the distance and the 99 turns into the 5....but since you are leaving from turlock...you can get on the 5 from there if you drive down to patterson which is just maybe 15 minutes from main street...if you want to do the 99 then just take it all the way down to bakersfield and it turns into the 5 around there...really easy ...the only thing to really watch for is once you get to LA...they name the 5 fwy Golden State fwy....then it changes to Santa Ana fwy...still the 5 but make sure you keep those names in your head....

man i just got back a couple of hours ago.. I was there since Thursday i wish i knew about the soft opening.. :sad2:

well although I dont condone that type of behavior, it doesnt surprise me...keep in mind a couple of things...1. NOBODY has this ride...DL is the only one...2. and I say this all the time...you CANNOT compare WDW with DL...WDW doesnt have a nemo ride and this has been a long time in the waiting...:confused3

Sorry that happened to you. However, I have to say rude people do go to WDW as well! If you have never seen them you have been very lucky;) . In the end, most people are good and sometimes they just get caught up in the magic and fun and forget their manners. I see far more courteous people at DL/WDW than rude thank goodness!

Lynn: So glad you had a great trip and got to ride Nemo without a long wait. Doubt I'll be that lucky next week but I am not complaining! Welcome Home!

Its really awesome you were brave and got to ride nemo. I was there this past weekend as well, but stayed clear of the lines. I figured I could get more done if I didnt wait in a 4 hour line up. ;) Gives me another reason to go back to DL.

Sunday was cool though with all the media, did you see any celebs? we got some pics of different celebs such as Courtney Cox, David Arquette, and Sean Ashton, and as dad and I were waiting for Space Mountain we thought we saw Leonardo Dicaprio in front of us and he was with a skinny blond girl (Prob his GF). We kept seeing a side profile and it sounded like him, but we have been wrong before.

Also thats so cool that they left some of the originality of the sub rides cause it will bring back happy memories to those who remember it.
