Hi! We just returned yesterday from a week long trip, we stayed at Pop Century and dined at Crown and Rose, Crystal Palace, and Liberty Tree Tavern. We had a truly magical trip, we even won the Dream Fastpass at Epcot!! If you have any questions ask away and I will see if I can help you!

What did you think of Pop Century? Did you find it crowded with kids? Was it loud? Did you spend time at the pool? What was that like?

I'm wondering because we stayed at CSR last April & loved it but are now thinking of going again in Oct for a longer stay & are trying to cut costs back by maybe staying at a value resort. Let me know what your observations were.

And, welcome home!!

We LOVE Pop, it was our second stay there! My parents were also with us and they loved it, too, and I was a little worried about them b/c they are used to "higher up" hotels!! I actually did not find it that bad with kids, we saw just as many "adult only" groups by the pool having drinks as kids swimming. We did not bring bathing suits so we did not stay by the pool but I will say it is very nice, we had regretted not bringing them b/c everyone looked like they were having so much fun in it! We were in the 60's building and I am not sure how much better we could have gotten. We did not want to be along the pool b/c of the noise so we were on the lakeside and our walk to the bus stop and the food court was just fine. One great thing about this hotel is that you don't share a bus with anyone, they pick you up and drop and you off at your destination, no stopping at other resorts!!!! The busses ran promptly and we never waited more than about 10 minutes for one.
Hope this helps, any other questions just ask away!!!

Thanks, that's awesome! I have to say, we are used to the higher end hotels too but I'm thinking if we stay here this time, we could stay longer!! Longer? Nicer???? Hard choice but you sound like it was worth it! Thanks for your feedback.

I look at it this way. If you stay at the parks all day and then go get something to eat. By the time you go to the room you'll be so tired and ready to go to bed anyway. The sounds won't bother you. Thats if you want to get up early and hit the parks before the crowds get to bad.

I will be at the POLY in 2 weeks:yay: I was wondering how the weather was while you were there??? Was the parks crowded ???

OK, I am very new. What is the Dream Fastpass at Epcot and how did you win it? Sounds interesting

The weather was fantastic, 2 days we had to wear jackets but it was not cold, it felt great!! The parks for our first 4 days were great, only 10 min. wait tops, and I think that was only on 1 ride! The CM's out there kept telling us that as Jan. goes on the crowds get even thinner so it should be perfect when you go!!!
Have fun!!!

The dream fastpass is part of the Year of a Million Dreams that is going on right now. We were getting off of the ride in the "ball" and there was a guy standing there handing them out when we got off the ride. It is a landyard type thing you wear around your neck and it is fastpasses for the rides in that park that have fastpasses, so you can do all the rides basically as walk on's. It is awesome to win if there are waits!! We were just excited to be a part of the dreams!!!

I too go for the nicer /higher end hotels and suites while traveling, but when we go to Disney it is usually for 7 or more nights and we have to decide which is more important...and to be honest, we love the values. We are making a return trip to Pop this March. The themeing is great...it is truly Disney!

OP: Glad you had a good trip. Make sure you give a full trip report, Dining report and anything else you wanna throw into the mix!
