Just got back today

Glad to hear you had such a nice holiday :flower:

We used the guest asistance card for our son who has Asperger's for the first time last October. What a difference it made to the day :teeth:

Like your son he doesn't like the thrill rides and headliners but it means the couple of rides he does like, we can get on with minimum stress to him (and us!)

Our son is Autistic, he is a perfectly normal happy little boy but has learning difficulties and is unable to talk.

He is getting more patient these days, in the past if there was a ride that had a pre-show we used to skip it because he hates standing in q's or anything, however on this latest holiday he was much better. We always go to Guest Services at Universal - his favourite park - and get an express pass for the 3 of us so we can ride together without the need for q'ing.
He is much more aware these days and knows the way to all the theme parks, it's great to see him getting excited when he realises where we are going.

Thanks for the responses all, it's great that you can talk on these boards about all kinds of subjects :-)

I am a nightmare eating wise. I can't eat onion - makes me ill for some reason, so if we go anywhere I have to ask, also check ingredients when shopping. I hate all salad, indian, chinese food also, anything with fat on, pasta, egg, tomato sauce - counts out pizza, the list continues....

If we order food when out, it has to be garnish free or I can't eat it.

I cannot stand Onion's too, or salad or Indian or Chinese, Eggs though I like....
....where I work the xmas meal has to be planned around me because if we go to a restaurant that I won't like they know I would not go.

I don't drink either, so I'm a load of fun at parties!! To be honest I got so fed up with going to Xmas do's at work and hating the food and hating being around drinkers and drunks that I no longer go to them.
