Just Got Back, Planning Trip for October (HONEYMOON!!!)

Hey all,

We just got back from a great trip to WDW (even with a last day medical emergency we had a blast!) Anywho, we are getting married on October 15 and are planning to go back for our honeymoon.

Two questions:

1) What are the crowds like in Mid October

2) Should we plan ourselves or go through AAA (I am a long time member)

You'll definetly want to visit the wedding and honeymoon board here on this DIS. You'll find lots of great info for the little extras Disney can plan for your honeymoon.

With the exception of Columbus Day weekend October is pretty decent crowd wise. It's not the quiet place it once was, but it's also not wall-to-wall. You'll have the food and wine fest and MNSSHP to enjoy as well. Which are both great events and reason enough to visit in Oct.


I think AAA provides some great services, however, I like to plan my own things. I find I usually get better deals. It depends on how involved you want to get in the planning.

Mid Oct is my favorite time to go...it's not bad crowd-wise. Perfect time to go IMO.

Mid- October is a great time to go with little crowds except for Columbus Day. The crowds are huge then. Glad you had a great trip and have fun planning

We were there on Columbus weekend too, and never noticed huge crowds...of course the other times we have gone were Christmas and June...nothing compares Christmas crowds.

We were there Oct 3-8 this past year and really enjoyed the low-moderate crowd level. Of course it was terrible on EE days, but we just avoided those parks. Also, we left on Friday, but I did noticed Thursday night it was somewhat crowded for F&WF activities at Epcot.
