Just got back! (&park vue review)

Sorry to hear about your hotel stay..I would have been SOOO out of there!!:rotfl2: I had originally booked PVI based on the recommendations by many. But after a one night stay at an independent hotel in Tucson (which was awful) I realized that Dbf and I are sorta hotel snobs. Not to the extent that we need a 4 star hotel at all, just that I have certain standards for a hotel room. Cleanliness is # 1. Based on the fact that I have never had a bad stay at a Marriott hotel I chose Fairfield Inn on Harbor. I am there right now and will write mini-review when I return home next week. But I have found my new home for offsite accomodations! I can't say enough good things about this hotel. The rooms have all been refurbished with new furntiure and carpets. We got a Disney Princess themed room which was decorated nicely. The room is very clean, no weird smells from water, bathroom is crystal clean. Flat screen tv's and despite being on the freeway side, I don't hear a thing when I shut my door. I would consider this hotel also for your next trip. It is maybe 1 min. further down the street from the crosswalk. Easy peasy walk for sure. We have been coming back for naps everyday and the walk is a piece of cake. Glad to hear the rest of your trip was fun.And WOW...the crowds at DLR are Waaaay crowded for sure. Thank GOd for FP's!!:goodvibes

I was suprised about the crowds. I was there 2 years ago and it was not nearly that crowded. I can only imagine what its going to be like when carsland opens up

Sooooo sorry about your room, that is a big bummer!

As far as crowds, we went 4th of July weekend and they were pleasant, but my guess as to why you ran into crowds is that:
1. almost all schools in the greater southern California area, are out in July, including year round. Some school in San Bernardino Co. are out in June and go back in August, some OC school go through June and go back in September so July is the month almost all So Cal schools have off in common.
2. Deluxe APs are blocked out weekends and not weekdays so you were dealing with a greater contingency of APs then you would on a weekend or on the 4th.
