Just returned home about an hour ago.

I suppose overall we did enjoy it and it is nice to have been - BUT - I feel obliged to do a trip report because I feel let down by Disney:sad1:

We have been before (last year at Xmas) so I knew what to expect but it felt slightly run down and VERY VERY EXPENSIVE. The euro rate is shocking and we really noticed it but it did seem that they have put up their food prices. And don't even mention Blue Lagoon to me:scared1:

I will post all in the next few days but I am glad to be home and enjoying a bit of piece and quiet.

sorry you felt a bit ripped off. i found it fairly expensive on my trip but im already in the euro zone so i could imagine it would be worse if you have to change your money over.

I agree about the prices, they were a lot higher than April when we went last. I think that spoilt (so to speak) our trip...

Welcome back. Glad you enjoyed it overall. Look forward to your TR.

I agree about the prices going up, I was glad I had my shareholders card to use to get discounts when we went in October and November. I hope you had a fun trip though, can't wait to read your report.

Auberge de Cendrillon has raised its prices since we ate there in April - from 20 Euros to 22 for children; from 55 Euros to 61 Euros for adults. So our bill had risen from 75 Euros for the two of us to 83 Euros.

Unfortunately because of the poor exchange rate now, the meal in April worked out about £62, whereas our meal this week worked out at about £83, as my credit card company charged very nearly £1 per Euro.

It was something we were prepared for before we went though.

Our shareholder card and annual pass was a godsend in October. Disney parks will always be expensive as are theme park prices in general but it is the euro rate that is hurting everyone at the moment :confused3

Hope you still had a great time and cant wait to read your trippie :)

I agree with the "a little run down" comment. A lot of the rides could use a paint job as it didn't seem as clean as the US parks.

The first night we ate at Annettes Diner, day 2 Billy Bob's, day 3 Lucky Nugget Saloon, Day 4 McDonalds (there is a story behind this, but I will explain more in my trip report!!!!), day 5 was at the Hotel.

We haven't eaten at any of these places before (except McDonalds) so I cannot say if they were more expensive but I am going on the general feel for prices for snacks and lunches etc. Like I say I have been before and althought I cannot remember what I paid, I had a certain expectation of what things might cost, even with the exchange rate.

Without giving away too much, dinner at Annettes was 2 burgers, 2 shakes and a childrens meal and it cost over £55 which I think is a lot for a burger!!!

Welcome back :goodvibes sorry it wasn't all you were hoping for. When we went in the summer we did find a couple of buffet restaurants had raised their adult prices but had actually reduced the child price so swings and roundabouts, I guess. We didn't actually find DLRP any more expensive than before, it was the exchange rate that made our money not go as far.
