We were disappointed in this Disney trip-- last time we were there was in 2000 and I don't think we will be back anytime soon.

AK- was really boring except for Lion King and Dinosaur. My DD 51/2 was not allowed on the Primeval whirl but allowed on Dinosaur and rocknroll caoster besides other rides like the Tower or terror- space mountain- mission space

Epcot only good rides test track and mission space
MGM- well Fantasmic was great- and we enjoyed some of the 3 d movies

MK- BORING- my kids were bored!! the rides were old- boring nothing is changing or updating not at all happy. the fastpass rules are bad.

Oh and please we went to Blizzard Beach just awful we lasted only 2 hours. the water was flithy- dead frogs and gecckos floating in the lazy river- the leaves at the bottom had to be 2 inches thick. The line were awful- we went on 2 slides in 2 hours.

the wave pool had no waves and again all the leaves in dead floaty things were gross!!
the staff all have bad attiudes- not one went out of their way to say Hello!!

no questions asked- Universal is #1- clean- frienldly- exciting!!

I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your trip to WDW. My DH is 69 and I am 59 and we go every year and have never been bored at MK or any other park. As for the state of Blizzard Beach, remember there have been hurricanes and just bad weather there lately. Maybe they haven't gotten around to cleaning that part up yet. I'm not trying to make excuses, just maybe a reason.

You're trip was not a great one! It's disappointed to wait all year for a vacation and it's not magical. B Beach sounds disgusting. Are they waiting til it closesfor the season to clean it??Gross!
Thanks for the report
Have a disney nite:earsgirl: :earsboy:

We would save so much money if we could get bored with Disney. I'm trying but it just doesn't work. ;) After this year is up we will have been 3 times!!

we didn't have a bad time just found Disney to be old-- meaning been there done that. I guess my kids like faster rides- they found MK dull.

yes I do know they have had hurraicanes- we were thru Jeanne- but they didn't make an effort to "try" to clean out the leaves in BB- just showing an effort but nothing.

Universal is alot nicer- from workers to the actual rides...

I would definately not return if I were you....

for me...I don't think I'll ever lose the magic.....

Anita36. Sounds like WDW is not your cup of tea. Sorry you had to spend the money to find that out!!!.

I love WDW, but with my niece getting older, 10 now, we add Universal to our trips for the thrill rides.

birdiesunshine. You made me laugh out loud!!. Isn't that the truth. I wish my passion was worm watching, or fly catching. Sure would save a lot of money

I would enjoy Universal I've just never had the yearning to try it out
Have a magical day
Disney or otherwise

I'm sorry your trip was less than magical. We went to WDW this past summer and loved every single minute. My DS is 10 and thank goodness for me is still able to see the magic in even the "kiddie" rides.

BTW - We went to BB this year and stayed for only maybe 3 hrs but that was really all we planned for. The lines were extreme (sure wish they had pastpasses there), I've heard it is better to go early am but that is park time to us.

The best thing about Orlando is the availability of something for everyone. WDW is "it" for us and we can't wait for our next trip, but if Universal works better for your family by all means I would suggest heading there next trip. We will stay with WDW as long as my DS continues to find the magic with us!

Susan

actually this wasn't our first time there-- we had a great vacation after we left DIsney- I guess my family likes thrill rides instead of slow moving. and actually we didn't spend all that much at Disney- we enjoyed our trips to Disney previous years when the kids were little-

I guess I have enough Magic in my life that I don't need the Disney magic..

That's too bad! Has this happened to you because of going there too often? I'm only interested in going to WDW every 4-5 years. That way its so special when I do go back.

What an odd comment, many of us including myself, have lives that we'd never trade. My DS is the joy of my life and seeing life through his eyes makes my life very magical indeed.

We absolutley love everything Disney and a vacation with the mouse is something I hope we can continue to do as a family. My DS loves all the rides (big and small) and loves Disney.

Do I NEED the Disney magic? No. Do we love it? Absolutley!!

Do whatever is best for your family. Those of us that love the Disney magic will continue to enjoy it and bring the magic to our families, need it or not.

What does this mean? Is this to infer that people that still love disney are somehow not fulfilled in other areas of their lives?

Seems like a bit of a slam there. Oh well, thats the internet for ya.

I like the Universal spy comment, as that is exactly what I jokingly said to myself. Especially the not liking "slow moving" rides part. Oh and the "old" description made me kind of laugh a bit. As far as MK not updating or changing, why the heck would you break something that is perfection? Oh well, to each his own and all that.

Sounds like Disney is not for you. That is not the case with our family...we love everything about it and have been going with kids that were little and are now teens--they enjoy it more each trip.

Glad to hear you like Universal--I've heard the rides are more like the Six Flags operations and that does have its appeal. You may want to research the various roller coaster parks across the states--many of them are fabulous for those daring enough to try them.
Thanks for sharing.

yes I am a Universal SPY!!!!!

and as for Universal being like 6 Flags- way wrong!! there 3-d shows are alot better then MGM's 3-D.

geesh I didn't realize I was going to get "slammed" for voicing my OP on Disney-- geeesh thankfully I have am Flame suit on...

wow people chill it is a park- but if harrasssing someone on their OP of DIsney- which differs from yours makes you feel better by all means put me down- judge me- whatever makes you feel better...

Last year we went to Universal (HRH) for three nights before WDW. It was fun and we really enjoyed the hote. But for us it's when you get to Disney that the Magic starts. Kids had a great time and Universal but for us there's nothing like the thrill of walking up Main Stree or looking at the castle from the GF that sends chillls down our spines. THis year we're doing 3 nights at HRH, 2 nights at the new Nick Hotel (just to relax - the kids want to try the kids spa and see the theming) and then 11 nights at GF. They are very different vacations - but we couldn't imagine not going to DIsney!!!!
