Hey everyone,
Again, I want to be able to give back some of the fantastic advice and opinions I received on the boards so here goes.
The Cast:
Me - 40
DD - 12
Thu - arrived drank some Pina Coladas for lunch at the Poly and then went to LTT for a wonderful Dinner. My dd had a hot dog by the pool and not a PC just in case anyone is wondering LOL. Dinner was great and I've never seen my dd eat sooo much anywhere. The salad and bread were great and the only things I didn't care too much for were the ham and stuffing. I loved the Mac and Cheese and the Mashed potatoes and the steak and turkey were tender and delicious.
Fri - MGM - Lunch at Sci Fi. I had a cheeseburger and fries and dd had chicken nuggests. It was just a regular meal nothing to great but not bad either. Dinner was Prime Time and this time the Fried Chicken was outdone by my friends succulent Pot Roast which I would normally never order. It was so tender and melted in your mouth. By the way as you will see, the trend on this trip is beef for some reason. Oh we also got the smore's and they were as usual great.
Sat. - More Pina Coladas for lunch Yummy and then Le Cellier for Dinner which was FANTASTIC. The service was great but let's talk about the food. The soup was good but a bit salty and the pretzel bread was okay too but nothing out of this world but I ate alot of bread dipped into the soup anyway. I ordered the caesar salad which was good but nothing compared to the steak. First I'll say I'm not too much for steak but I definitely wanted to try it here and was going to get the filet with the cream cheese mashed potatoes but was talked into their signature dish the filet with the mushroom risotto and let me tell you this was sooooooooo delicious and the flavors just blended so perfectly. My dd loved her sirloin and talked about going back to this restaurant for the rest our trip which I wish we could have. It was more pricey but well worth it. We got Chocolate Mousse for dessert which was pretty good too.
Cruise . . . .
Thu. - Epcot - ate lunch at Alfredo's which was a bit of a dissapointment. My dd got the kids pasta and I got the pasta mix with Alfredo, ziti and gnocchi but we both agreed we didn't love the food here.
Fri. - Dinner in POP food court got Chicken and pasta which was okay. I like the waffles at the POP for breakfast. They are soft and sooo good.
Sat. - Dinner at Concourse Steak House. Had the NY strip and potatoes and veggies. It was good but no where near like Le Cellier. My dd's Mac & Cheese on the other hand was the best I had all week or really ever. They had real Cheddar Cheese on top and it tasted so fresh.
Sun - We were supposed to eat breakfast at the Crystal Palace but didn't get up early enough so we went for lunch. The characters were wonderful and we saw them several times but the food wasn't that great. I will try them for breakfast next time for sure.
While noshing at Epcot I had a LeBlatt Light which was good, my dd had a kaki gori which she loved and we got the infamous school bread which I thought was just okay. My friend got a piece of strawberry pie there though that was so light and creamy. Mmmmm it was good.
All in all I think we ate pretty well
