Hi everyone! We returned last night from an eight-night trip to WDW with our two young daughters, ages 5 and 2. We stayed at AKL, visited all four parks at least twice, and had a terrific time. The crowds were not bad at all! Will be happy to answer any/all questions for you!!!

Glad you had a good time.
1. Was it hot?
2. Did you use Magical Express and if so, how did that go?
3. How about posting dining reviews on the restaurant forum?
Thanks

Hi. Glad you had a good trip! I was wondering if you took advantage of any of the EMH? Perhaps with the young children maybe you did a morning EMH. If so, how was it? Many have been reporting the evening ones as very busy. THANKS! :sunny:

1) It was not too bad. The first few days, it just felt hotter, since we're from the DC area, and we were not used to the weather. After that, it got better. I think it was in the upper 80s everyday, but it was partly cloudy most days, so the sun rays were not that strong. There was also a nice breeze going most days, so that felt nice.

2) No, we did not, we drove on our own. However, it looked kind of confusing, since we saw people coming on the buses marked Magical Express, but then we also saw trucks pull in with the luggage, and there was a LOT of chaos going on with the bellservice with those luggage. They still need to work out some kinks, I believe.

3) We didn't eat at too many places, since with small kids, it's hard to plan sit-down service every night. But we did eat at Crystal Palace for lunch one day, Chef Mickey's for dinner on my daughter's 3rd birthday, and Boma's on our last night. We also did some counter-service meals. Boma's was the best, Crystal Palace was surprisingly good, and Chef Mickey's was only OK. The turkey legs were AWFUL, in my opinion, and the best dessert onsite is the Pineapple Cheesecake at Boma's. I'll try to write a more detailed review on the Restaurants Forum.

We did not utilize any of the morning EMH, but went to MGM on a EMH night (without the kids) and to MK on a EMH night. Both nights were PACKED at the parks. We left Epcot around 7 pm on a EMH night and noticed people pouring in as we walked out. I think evening EMH are extremely crowded, especiallyl at MK. At MGM, only a handful of attractions are open, and only one or two places to eat are open past 9 pm. We settled for Rosie's All-American Cafe (or something like that), where we waited in line along with literally hundreds of others for around 30 minutes for the most tasteless cheeseburger this side of the Galaxy. Ugh. Definitely eat somewhere else before heading to MGM for an EMH night.

Thanks for your response Linda. I think we will skip evening EMH in August, unless I start to hear more positive reports. Again, I am so glad you had a good trip!! Thanks. :sunny:
