Just got back from spending three days at US/IOA. All of us loved the parks. We stayed at the HRH which allowed us to walk right onto all of the rides. All we had to do was show them our room key and we walked right on. Our favorite rides were MIB, Jurassic Park, The Hulk and Kongfrontation. We liked everything but had favorites that we went on several times.
We ate at Mythos which was excellent. Good food and great atmosphere and waiter/waitress. We had both. They were in training. I had the wrap(spinich tortilla w/bbq chicken and mashed potatoes rolled inside-very good) We all shared a dessert platter that had 5 little desserts on it. That was delicious! Also ate at The Enchanted Oak and all of us had the smoked turkey leg, corn on the cob, french fries and corn muffin. I didn't get any because I knew my youngest son wouldn't be able to finish it all. My husband couldn't even finish his meal. We also ate at the Nascar Cafe. That was good too. Ate at a little place called Schwab's Pharmacy and had hand dipped icecream shakes. They were very good.
Have to be honest in saying that we were a little disappointed with the HRH. We had a nice man named A Jay check us in and insisted they were totally booked and couldn't give us an upgrade(we have a Loews card) After my persistance he goes"do you want me to find you a different room?" and I go "I thought you said you didn't have any more rooms left" He changed the subject and went in the back. I guess he wanted me to think that he was trying to get us an upgrade. Didn't happen but he was very nice. We checked in later and got a different guy who was very short and curt with me in saying they were totally booked. So, we gave up but did recieve our cookies and milk later in the day. We, too had the deluxe room which was o.k. but only one tv. We had just spent three days at a Holiday Inn that had 3 tvs and was a third of the cost. All in all, it was worth staying on property just for the fact we could get on all the rides right away.
I would be happy to answer any questions.
