Just got back from the Contemporary

We just got back from a week at the CR.
We had a tower room on the renovated 9th floor. We did not have a MK view but it was not a big deal. In fact we were very happy with our pool and lake view. We could go out on the fire escape to see the fireworks and the kids loved seeing the water pageant on the lake.
I agree with the others that the Food and Fun Center leaves much to be desired but the California Grill made our top ten list of great meals.
We had a fantastic time and are already planning our next trip in two years.

Glad you had a great time. And glad you enjoyed your view of Bay Lake. Half of the tower guests will end up with it, so it's good that is has its own appeal.

I loved the CR, although we were in a garden wing room, rather than in the tower. I especially loved the short walk to the MK!

I do not have any photos but you can see some at the CR link located on allears.net. I tried to post the link but was told that I did not have enough posts on this board.
The only thing I would change is the cool looking bathroom sinks because they did not drain well due to their design. The backlit bathroom mirrors were fantastic and I am thinking of getting that type when we redo our bathroom.
We were very happy with the room, the hotel and the location!

We just got home tonight 11/27, we had a North wing room. Had a great trip, but next time it's back to the Polynesian. Wonder if we saw each other?

Glad you had a great stay! We stayed in a tower room, non-renovated on the 11th floor, MK view. It was the best ever. My kids were in heaven. And I guess so was mom. We didn't mind the Food and Fun Center, little variety but the food was descent, we thought. Our complaint is the pool. Really needs updated.

I also stayed on the 11th floor MK view. I couldn't get over the view, every night and every morning I'd sit out there and just gaze out at the view. It really did make the trip magical.

The food and fun center was fine for me, we didn't have any problems with it and even enjoyed spending time in the arcade. Kids won lots of crap. LOL

I'm taking my niece back in January (20th - 23rd) and we'll be staying at CR again with the MK view. Can't wait!!!

I've never really liked the look of the Contemporary but the renovated rooms look very nice indeed.

Glad to hear you enjoyed the CR. I am wanting to stay at the Poly on our next trip, but my 12 y/o (almost 13) is insistent on wanting to stay at the CR.

I have been waiting for the renovations before staying there. Glad to hear you liked them.

You sure cannot beat the CR for its location. So easy to get everywhere. We plan on staying there again during out next visit in two years and then I want to try the Poly and then AK when the kids are a bit older.
