I just spent 8 days at the Swan and loved every minute. Beautiful hotel & room, but took 3 trys to get to it. Great people that worked there. Went to most all the other resorts to check them out. Was very happy with our choice.

Welcome back! Glad to hear you had a great time! Which park did you spend the most time in?

Went to all of them + Universal. My favorite is MGM. Good rides and shows. I love the entire place. Played min golf and did Pleasure Island. Had a ball. Wish I was still there. I've decided 8 days is not enough! SWAN was beatiful. And those beds!!!!

What type of room did you have - we have a standard view - I am
looking for any info on a good room near elevator and pool with somekind of view.

Standard room could be good also. I had a standard room 1st on 6th floor. Had a really nice view of water channel between Swan & BW. Could see ToT at MGM. I was suppose to get a balcony. They switched us the next day to balcony but it was awful. It was on the 4th floor and only had view of tree practicaly in the room. They switched us again to the 9th floor with same view as 1st room. It was beautiful and didn't mind not having a balcony after that last room. Really love the Swan and those "heavenly" beds!

Do you mean close to pool area? It is not real close to pool, but the walk there isn't bad. The walk never bothered me. I really loved the pool there too. We only had time to go at night and there was noone in it or the hottub. I was really surprised.

teammom......do you know if people are allowed to bring their own rafts into the pool? I know they can be rented at the cabana. Thanks.
Glad you had a great trip!

don't know for sure, but can't imagine why you couldn't. Have a wonderful time at this resort. Also walking to Tubbies at Dolphin (because that is a grat place too. Open 24 hrs) is not a bad walk either. I still think those fabulous beds are worth the little extra walk. I've stayed at the Dolphine also. Loved that too, but they don't have those beds yet. Sooo nice after a lond day & night at the parks!

Thanks for your reports. We will be at the Swan at the end of July. We decided to stay at the Swan over the Dolphin this time b/c of the heavenly beds. Glad to hear it is "heavenly".

Me too, mouseteacher. I originally wanted to try the Dolphin this time, but because of construction at D. and heavenly beds at S., it was a no-brainer! Loved the Swan in Dec.

We also decided to stay at the swan because of the newly renovated rooms in August. I was planning to pack tubes for the pool with us, I hope they let us use them. Last year, we could bring our own at YC. Have fun!!

Yes, you can bring your own tubes and rafts to the S/D grotto pool. Sounds like a wonderful idea too. Have fun!

The mattress tag on my king bed at the Dolphin last week said "Heavenly Bed". :earseek: The room had not yet been renovated, it had the typical "whimsical" Dolphin decor.

NHann.....very interesting! I thought those were supposed to be 'sweet sleepers'!

Muffy......thanks........at Walmart today I saw those circular fold up rafts that you don't blow up they have been advertising on tv. I almost bought one, but wasn't sure I could use it at S/D. My idea of swimming is floating around on my back soaking up the rays that are so bad for your skin.

We just returned from the Swan also (6/15-6/22). Our gang stayed in two connecting rooms
on the Club Level (price was great!). The location is wonderful (water shuttles to Epcot & MGM - walk to the Boardwalk and mini-golf) and the folks there were terrific. And the beds...the most comfortable I've ever slept on. We don't get to Disney too often (1987, 1994, 2003) so we'll try another place when visit again, but I would recommend it to anyone.

ozzie ~

Your idea of swimming is = to my idea of swimming! ;) I'll have to go to WalMart and check out those floats!
