It was great, I won't give away any details but I haven't enjoy a kids movie that much since "Lion King". It was wonderful and my 6 year old dd loved it too!!

I don't know if I can get passed that tooth! ;)

I adore Emma Thompson and think she's just so talented!

But that tooth is a little skeevy! :scared:

Glad to hear it, DD and I have a big date to see it tomorrow.
DS told me he changed his mind and didn't wnat to go, he doesn't want to see that Nanny, she's scary. LOL

We saw it tonight- the theater was packed, and there was lots of laughter, and some (parental) tears, too. We all applauded at the end. Very good- Mary Poppins would be proud of Nanny McPhee.

Just got on to post the same thing,I loved it! My DD 6 thought it was great too. I totally wanted clap and cheer---Colin Firth so easy on the eyes, definetly liked watching him!

Thanks for the info! We will have to go see that this weekend. We are on a WDW free weekend - we've been there two days the past two weekends, and I need to get some cleaning done around the house, but there is always time for a movie!

I really want to see it with my DD (6) and DS (4). In your opinion, is a 4 year old too young? Why is it PG? :confused3

I probably won't be seeing that movie. I don't think I could stare at her for 2 hours she looks hideous!

A bit of a spoiler ahead...

She doesn't stay ugly for the whole movie. You shouldn't let her looks get in the way of seeing the movie. It's really good.

I am going Sunday to see with with the kids and a friend and her daughter. Looking forward to seeing it! :cool1:

I can't believe looks would dissuade anyone from seeing a movie. What do you do when people not as gorgeous as you walk by you? Cover your eyes? :confused3 :rolleyes1

If it was a joke, I'm sorry, but you should have added a laugh smiley.

Anyway, the movie was very good! The whole family loved it. :thumbsup2

We saw it this morning and thought it was very good. I loved all the magical touches in the movie. And Colin Firth is so cute.

I bet the PG rating comes from the father's encounter with the lady he plans to marry. It's more silly than anything.

The Trailors look good, I want to take my daughter to see it.
We should have a good laugh, I am a Nanny, and NO, I don't have a tooth like that one!!!LOL!

2 weeks until FL!! :cool1:

Wonderful, wonderful movie! :goodvibes

My DD9 just finished reading the entire Mary Poppins series of books. She was giggly over Nanny McPhee. She may have to start reading Nurse Matilda.

Please OP tell me she turns into a hot babe at the end of the movie. I too cannot get by the tooth. Please tell me if she is like the Frog Prince. If you do not want to do it on this thread pm me!

I saw Nanny McPhee yesterday with my 9 year old grandson. He was bored. I, on the other hand, loved it! I would definitely say this is more a "girl" movie. I think you have to be one to really appreciate the fairy tale ending. Not that boys won't enjoy it, but they see romantic things differently.

For those having a problem with the way Nanny looks--Why are her looks so important to you?
