Just got back from our quick trip to Bay Lake Towers

More later on the trips board. Had a great time only wish we had stayed more than the 3.5 days. Never again for less than 4 full days and NEVER with a layover thru Atlanta!! Had a great time and BLT is great. I read all the stuff about bathroom doors with no locks and no ceiling fans and the like but that turned out to be very minor stuff and for us, nothing to bother with. Heck, our toliet in the master bath did not work(kept running) and after the second call to get it fixed stopped worring about it. We now appreciate just how nice the Contemporary is. We had never cared that much for it but boy we are both lovers of this combined resort now. Everything is so close and convient. More later but real tired and lots to catch up on now...smjj

Glad you had a great trip/stay... I'm still not sure why the bathroom door can't be fixed with minimal expense to make everyone happy.

Agree about ATL!! I refuse to stop there anymore. It is huge, and never on time for us. We miss connections etc. so now I only fly nonstop on Airtran.

You said Master so you had a 1 bed? Layout and issues are more pronounced in studios.

I think a piece of weatherstripping is all that is needed on the bathroom doors

I too, was very impressed with the resort overall. Dh and I are heading back in 2 days!

Not to put a downer spin on things, but I find it inexcusable that nobody showed up to fix the commode after two calls.
This is not okay. I don't mind paying the high fees associated with DVC, but I darn well better get the service that goes along with them.

So glad you enjoyed BLT!! We are at OKW now and really enjoying it. We are going home to BLT in feb and can't wait!

BTW, we live in ATL and we drive!lol Totally agree about airport. It's too much of a hassel for us to go there so we just drive.

If we had been there a couple more days I probably would have. We had a second full bath and just used it. It kept running and running so it would not flush right. If I giggled the handle a few times it would stop after a few minutes. I just did not want to have to keep making calls and the such. I was on vacation and wanted to spend our time out and about.

One additional note I will add here. The observation deck was NEVER anywhere near full. We watched the fireworks twice from the deck and had great views. They did check our ID and walked us to the elevator each time we went to it..smjj
