It was great and can't wait to do it again!

We have always stayed at condos or on-site or hotels when traveling to Orlando. I am sold on pool homes!

We had my mom, my DS and his wife and our teenaged DD traveling with us this trip and the house was wonderful. DS had no interest in visiting the parks. All he wanted to do was visit army buddies and DH just wanted to veg at the pool, so it was the perfect arrangement for our group.

We stayed in a addition called Eagle Pointe. It was a true housing addition because all of our neighbors were locals. It was off the beaten path, but it was really easy to get back and forth to where we wanted to go.

For the price you just couldn't beat it. It was only $799 for the week including everything! Taxes, cleaning fees, wifi and the house was better supplied than our own home! You name it, they had it! When you break that down per person it was a really cheap trip! Everyone had their own bathroom and TV and the washer and dryer was great. We threw in a few loads everyday so we are coming home with clean clothes! We had breakfast and snacks at the house, so we really didn't cook, but they had a fully equipped kitchen and an outside grill had we wanted to.

Glad you enjoyed your first experience! We agree that it's the only way to be near Disney! :goodvibes

I have done on property beach club, off site hotel holiday in sunspree, vistana resort and pool homes.

It just gave us everything we need. We do not do the parks every day. When we get home we can swim till the wee hours. Thats my childrens idea of a holiday. We eat all breakfasts in the home. We have drinks and snacks and some times cook, get take out or dine out. It is great having all the space and bathrooms. When we get home we do not need a day or two to recuperate from our holiday, we feel relaxed.

Sounds great! Yeah I agree once you rent a pool home and find out what a real relaxing Disney vacation is like there is no going back!
May I ask which house you rented and where you rented from?

Hi, I am with you re-pool house. We have been renting a pool house for the past 4 yrs. and really love it. We really enjoy having a pvt. pool and just relaxing. We have stayed on site and it was nice but now it's pool home for us. We love the room and 3 bath rooms.

When you have several generations traveling together, I agree it's hard to beat a pool home. Everyone has their own little "corner" to retreat to for some privacy. Offsite is so much cheaper that it's hard to beat when you have a "tribe" with you. We've stayed at WH for two trips and it was wonderful. Once in a 3 bedroom condo and last in a 4 bedroom pool home:thumbsup2

The only reason I'm staying onsite next trip is that it's just me and DH.:lovestruc When we go again with the grandkids and their Mother and Father, we'll do a pool home for sure.
