I want to follow up for those who remember my 'freaking out' post last Thursday about my abnormal mammogram. It was a false alarm, thank goodness. It was exactly like Lisa said in her reassuring response to my post: when they did a spot compression, the spot disappeared. The tech said sometimes breast tissue gets folded over on itself during the mammogram which causes the appearance of a lump. They took 3 spot compressions and an ultrasound and all came up normal. To say that I am relieved is an understatment. These past few days have been a nightmare. Thanks so much to all who responded with support and reassurance. Though I was still worried, it did help put things into perspective.
