We had a great week at HIFS and WDW. My DS4 just loves the pool. This year my DS16 and his girlfriend went too. I was a little worried if they would like it with all the little ones runnig around but they had fun too. We were in Bldg. 12, and the noise from the construction was very loud. The workers started in at about 7:00am (weekdays) however we wanted to be up early anyway. The one day we wanted to sleep late was on the weekend so it all worked out ok. I would advise anyone staying there to avoid Bldg 10, 11, 12 and 13, unless you want to wake up to hammering and beeping of construction vehicles. I have Pizza Hut coupons if anyone wants them. I also have a restaurant.com certificate for $25 for The Club Car that I didn't use (I got it with that 70% off code, so I only paid a couple $$) If anyone wants it just e-mail me and it is yours.

We'll be there in 2 weeks! Our first time staying at HIFS. Was it crowded at the hotel? Was parking space hard to find? We are staying in a queen/twin suite. I requested a quiet suite away from the pool. Where are bldgs 10, 11, 12 located-near the pool or the "quiet" section? Did you use the shuttle?
Thanks!
Cathy

It didn't seem too crowded. Sometimes the parking lot was pretty full in the late evening when everyone was back from the parks, but we always found a spot fairly close. The bldg. we were in (12) is by the east end pool ( the big family pool) If you request a room by the quiet pool you would be away from the construction and there seemed to be more parking at that end. BTW the smaller quiet pool was still open as of 5/5.

We didn't use the shuttle but we did inquired about it. My DS16 and his girlfriend were going to MGM a day that we were doing something else. We did get them a pass but they ended up not using it. You have to reserve a spot on the shuttle a day ahead. Are you going to have a rental car? The location is very good and quite easy to get to the parks. We had a full size from National for only 156.00 for the week.

Have a great time!!!

What do you think of the PLANS!

I know some people on this forum said the plans were in the lobby but I never saw them. Honestly I was only down to the lobby a couple of times. In fact most of the time we were gone to the parks or at the pool.

Sounds good- can't wait to be in Florida! I will only need to use the shuttle for 2 days, the rest of the time I will have transportation. I guess I could always use a taxi if I have to.
Thanks,
cathy:)

I was there last week, request bldg 6, not pool side, our room over looked the lagoon with all the lights at night and we had first floor it was MOST excellent!

There is a scale model in the lobby of what the resort will look like when complete.

Hi ALL!

JFYI , Anyone staying at the East Track (Family Pool side ) at HIFS can take advantage of viewing the fireworks display from Epcot and DT if you goto the building closest to the pond facing the Resturant and porch area. The top floor is higher than other buildings , I think it's the 7th floor near the elevator.

"ENJOY!!!"

"THE MAGIC HAPPENS!!!"
