Wow What a trip!! We just got back last night from 4 days at the GF Concierge Room 4401 overlooking the Cindy's castle!!! What an experience!! Everything was fantastic!
Then we went on the Disney Wonder for 4 days!! I didn't think the GF could be out done but the room we had on the ship was twice as big as the room in the GF! Room 8201 as far AFT as you can get and had a HUGE deck with two full bathrooms!! This is also Concierge and well worth it! I have to say the Concierge in the GF we didn't use much because we had character meals planned for most of our stay. I just can't say enough about this trip! If anyone has any specific questions I'd be happy to answer any. Disney Dreaming!!!

Hi Josierac,
I don't know the category but the stateroom was on Deck 8 Concierge. Any other ? just let me know.:)

I think you mean you were in 8102 on the Magic. That would be aCat. 3 handicapped accesible room.

Anne

Glad you had a great time! Did you take any pictures of 4401? It seems like a good location, on the end. How did you like the Royal Palm Club?

Thanks! ;)

That sounds like a great trip!

Are the cabin numbers for the Magic & the Wonder the same?

Hi,
I am not sure if the stateroom numbers are the same although I have heard that the ships are identical so they very well may be the same. If you look at a layout of deck 8 it is the very last room AFT. There is also one across the hall which is identical I think the number is 8602. Awesome! Good Luck! Incidentally we booked this room a year in advance, I'm not sure if you have to or not but I just thought I'd let you know.
Robin;)

We actually did stay in room 8102 on the Wonder! It is a handicap accessible room (or at least that is how it use to be categorized) It is equipped for wheelchair access but we were told that it is no longer categorized as handicap that is how we were able to reserve it.

And Hello to CalifDreaming:
I didn't take any pictures of 4401 in GF. And now I'm bummed that I didn't!! I did take pic's of the ship's room though. The end room was awesome, great view! The RPC was good but we didn't utilize it enough for it to be cost effective. We could have saved ourselves 1000.00 by staying in a non Concierge standard room. Oh well. It was great anyway!!!

glad to hear you had a fabulous trip!!!

we had cabin # 8602 booked on Magic for tomorrows sailing! :( unfortunately we cancelled it a few months ago!
I think we'll go next year though!

well, no to complain! we were in WDW 5 times last year! and we're going in two weeks, for 2 weeks! BWV and YC concierge!!!
I cant wait!

did you have room service breakfast on the DCL??? if so, how was it??? and is it true that for those end rooms on the ship, that the people on the deck above can look down to see your balcony???
actually, now that I think about it, we had room 8602 booked first and then switched to a Cat 3 room in the middle of the ship, no matter, we arent going anyway!!!

DCL next year!!!!!! hopefully Cat 3!!! :)

14 days til WDW!!!!!!! yipeeeeeee!!:) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

We have a very similar trip coming up. How did you end up with RPC at the GF? Did you book it on your own or did DCL book it for you?
We are also in a suite onboard the Wonder and were told that we would be in GF concierge, but they couldn't tell me if I would be in RPC or SL. I'm really hoping to get RPC. I just don't know if I should request it or not? We have added one night at GF to our pkg (Land/Sea) but that night I only booked a Garden View room. We'll move to concierge the next day. I'd love it if we were upgraded that first night, but I'm certainly not expecting to be. We'll be happy with what we've booked.
I am so excited about this trip. I just wish I could get the rest of the family as excited!
Thanks for the report!

Lisa:)

To answer the questions about the DCL room, yes people from the Beach Blanket Buffet can look down on your balcony. But they were just jealous!! It really wasn't bad I didn't feel at all strange about it and the Buffet isn't open all the time so it was ok.
We did have room service bring breakfast every day and the weather was so beautiful that we ate on the balcony which was heavenly! The first night we didn't know if we could order off the main menu that was in the room or just from the continental one that you hang outside your door, YES you can order from the menu! The service was superb! Although I did not like our servers in the resteraunt, they were pushy and I felt very rushed to order right away and get out. (6pm). We had dinner the last night in Palo's *** AWESOME FOOD *** Highly recomend it. The kids loved the kids clubs. We had one in the 3 & 4's and one in the 8 & 9 group. They both asked to go all the time. They only had dinner with us twice! Disney movies constantly in room and you can also order music CD's and other 1st rated movies too! They bring a snack to your room every afternoon, one in particular is special but I will save the surprise! The Hercules show was good and the Disney Dreams show was out of this world!

As far as the GF rooms. We were told they only reserve rooms 4 days prior to arrival. (Incidentally we also added the extra day in the park so we arrived on Wednesday) From info I had already recieved on this board (thanks) I knew what rooms had the MK view in the RPC so we specifically asked for one. The person we spoke to (James) was great! He couldn't gaurentee us but when we hung up we felt pretty good that he would accomodate us. And he did! It is just a standard room though, not very big. Two queens and a day bed/couch. But the view made up for everything! The fireworks were awesome and you can see the tail end of the electric light water parade too. You will have an unbelievable trip!
Have Fun!!
Robin

We have a digital camera, so we should be able to get plenty of pix for you. Anything specific you're looking for?

Lisa:)

What room did you specifically request? And where did you call and talk to James? I have spoken with a James in the concierge office. Is this the same James?

Thanks,
Lisa :)

Wow. Your trip must have been beautiful. We stayed last year on Deck 6 and this year we'll be on Deck 7! But to have a full bathroom instead of the tiny ones, now that's living!

Glad you had a magical time.:)

Hi Lisa! :) I always love to see pictures of rooms. Actually, I'd love to see any pictures that you are willing to take! ;)

Hi Familyof6!
Yes that must be the same James we spoke with too! We didn't request a specific number room but said we would like a MK view. We gave him the range of room numbers that we new had a view and he said he would see what he could do. We have a 4 yr girl and also played up the fact that she is a HUGE Cinderella/Princess fan and would love to go to sleep at night seeing the castle! (I figured it couldn't hurt to play it up a bit) The room numbers that we had gotten from CalD that have a MK view are:4301-4309 and 4401-4409.
Good Luck!
Robin;)

Robin,
Sorry to keep bugging you for details, but did you get this room with your DCL pkg or did you upgrade your pkg to conc. at GF?
We will be in a reg. GV room the first night anyway...then switch to concierge. DCL couldn't promise me RPC. Just wondering if requesting it would help my chances.

Thanks for your help

Lisa

Cali,
I'll be happy to send you whatever pix I get. :D

Hi Lisa,
We called ourselevs for the room reservations. Our tavel agent wasn't the greatest and we wanted to be sure we got what we wanted. Good luck.
Robin:)
