Just got back, and used "the code"

Hello all! Just got back from WDW today (boy I miss the sun), and I had used the infamous three letter code. I had gotten the code over the phone without asking for it, but noticed it on my confirmation sheet. To make a long story short....I had NO PROBLEMS checking in. They didn't ask for anything, only a photo ID (the usual for check in). In fact, not only did I NOT have a problem with my code and check in, I also got every single room request that I had asked for at POP. So, for all of the speculation that occurred prior to anyone actually using the code, I can calm your worries, and tell you that you will not have any problems at check in. So for those of you like me who had the code, good for you, enjoy your 40% off because I know that I TOTALLY DID!!! I miss Mickey already! A trip report may follow on another thread if anyone is interested!!! Feel free to ask me any questions you may have!

Yeah, thanks for letting us know. I also recieved the code after I called and I do not have a pin. I am going in August so I am hoping lots of people will report back that they did not have a problem.

I'd like to ask if you or anyone else changed your ressies at all and did you have a problem? I may add 2 people to my ressie and my TA is worried that it may cancel my "ill gotten gains" (code).

I personally did not change anything to my ressie after I made it (although I WISH I would've extended my vacation! ). So I am not sure if adding people would make a difference or not. sorry I couldn't help

We have been waiting to hear about our continuing saga... It really is just what most of us presumed would happen, but we were still a bit worried that either
1. Being asked to produce the infamous post card at check in, or
2. Demanded to pay the full price

How would you find this code? Would I have had to stay on property before? I hear everyone staying on property and I would love to but how do you get discounts and such. The hotel prices of several hundred dollars a night scaresme. Did you do a dinning meal? Is is worth it. Can you add it to a no stay on site. Oh I need help. Lynn

Start by reading the WDW codes for dummies link in my Signature.

Then read the Everything You Need to Know link. Basically that link will tell you that the 40% promotion was a targeted mailer to selected individuals not to everyone. Some people who were not 'targeted' managed to book it anyway.

Your mileage may vary.
