Hi all-First let me say the information I got from these boards proved to be invaluable-Thank you all!

Sorry no pics but lots of information and answers!:goodvibes

Here we go- 3 adults and 2 girls ages 5 and 9
We stayed at ASMU.

Did the Magical Express, didn't have to wait-smooth sailing all the way into ASMU -Arrived around 11:00 am Saturday and the buses were totally full.

Did not get connecting rooms as requested but did get the Preferred rooms in Calypso which was great!!! They were adjoining rooms and faced the side not the pool on top 3rd floor which was very quiet and not a bad view at all.

We got one room right away with towel animals and had to wait till we got back from the parks for the second room-no problem-got our tix with dining plan and park hoppers and off we went:banana:

Now for the food!

We had lunch at Pecos Bill-it was so crowded that we couldn't even make it to the fixins bar! We could barely find a table.
Kids had children's cheeseburgers with fries, cokes and cookies.
Burgers rubbery-fries hot and cookies really tasty!

2 adults had the cheeseburgers fries and carrot cakes-Burgers also rubbery, carrot cake really very good!

I had taco salad which I did finally get up to fixins bar and get some salsa. I really enjoyed it- it was not greasy at all & there was just enought meat. It absolutely needed the salsa though!-the packet of sour cream worked out and I really liked it. I got the bottle of water which is Dasani so it was no big whoop.

As my DH would say"it filled the hole" nothing really outstanding basic burgers but the crowds made it difficult. No CM's to help you find a table and people hovering like vultures over tables trying to eat.

After spending the rest of the day at MK we had ADR's for Chef Mickey for 8:30 pm

During this time we found out that one piece of our luggage was missing when we called to find out about the second room-So we run back to ASMu to get them the luggage numbers from our plane tix and found out that all luggage was actually there! I end up getting them to pay for the cab back to Contemporary so we can make the ADR! And we get a fast pass to use at any park.

So-Chef Mickey!

We really enjoyed it. I have to say I was a little concerned after reading some not so great reviews on the board esp about the quality of the food. But we thought the food and the characters were terrific!

We were orginally going to be seated in the side room next to the buffet but we asked nicely if we could please have the main room and we were accomodated.

The charactes spent a lot of time with the kids, fooling around, hugging and posing. We got to see them twice since we arrived just in time for a Celebration!

The buffet had a lot of good things. I had the Mickey ravioli which I found tasty, the pasta and italian chicken which was seasoned very well, different breads & rolls. Peel and eat shrimp were delish.
The rest had the carved meats which you could ask for rare or medium or well done. There was great salads and veggies. Our waiter was attentive and cleared our plates. The kids loved everything except they thought the mac & cheese was kind of gummy. The pizza looked bad to me but the kids liked it alot!

My suggestion would be to sit in the main area and check out the buffet first-get the food when it is first brought out and it will be fresh and hot!

Breakfast at Crystal Palace!

This was awesome! I highly suggest it. It is beautiful, we had to wait to be called but it was a gorgeous day so we didn't mind.

We were seated in the back but it was not a problem to get to the buffet. The food was really terrific. We had croissants that were flaky and light, breakfast pizza (catch this when they bring it out- it will be worth it-cheezy eggs on pizza crust!), Mickey waffles were crispy. I didn't have time for the made to order omelettes but they looked very well done. They had the sweetest strawberries and whipped cream-oh boy!

The oj tasted fresh squeezed but I couldn't swear to it. Our waitress was pretty good. We had to remind her to take away the dirty plates but all in all she was ok.

The characters had handlers which I liked a lot. The handler kept order keeping kids from rushing the characters and keeping the table order. It was easy to tell who was coming when.

They do a little parade which is adorable. The characters were very good about including kids from around the room.

The buffet items were replenished a number of times-we really enjoyed this buffet. The Palace was clean and light and airy- it just felt fun and magical.

Our ADR was for 9:20 am so we were early but not crazy early.

Lunch at Cindy's Royal Table

Ok- I was really looking forward to this one! The girls changed into their princess attire and I sprinkled gold glitter with hair spray on their pony tails. They had crowns and looked just as good as the Bippity Bobbity Boutique girls!

First we happened to meet the stepsisters and Fairy Godmother outside the castle! Those stepsisters are a absolute riot!! "Oh you're dressed as that fish girl (ariel) I hope you like sushi!"

Then we entered the castle and waited for Cinderella. We got 2 sets of photos as we were 5. One set just of the girls and the second set of the whole family. Cindy was very sweet, knelt down to talk to the 5 year old. She was not rushed at all. The line was not too long-I found the photographer slightly abrupt but it didn't hurt the experience. The pics came out beautiful and I am glad they were included in the package. Cindy was very gracious, never left character and was worth the short wait.

Then we had to wait for about 20 minutes before we were called upstairs. At first the CM's were calling in the usual manner "Lord and Lady Smith" stuff like that. Then they got giddy and stupid "Survey says the Smith Family come on down!". I found this in bad taste considering the girls' fantasy, the price paid and the whole experience. I went over and told them to please knock it off-that those kind of "Price is Right" introductions were out of place and not right in the castle. They probably thought I was an old fart but they knocked it off right away.

We were finally called, the girls got their wands and wishing stars. They are ok-kind of cheap looking but ...

We have very late lunch ADR's at 2:45 pm and were seated in the upper tier. It was just fine. Our waiter was just so so (the gratuity is included at CRT) but his helpers were outstanding. I will tell you why in a few minutes-

The food:
Since it was almost dinner we had a very nice appetizer platter and they brought over 2 platters for the 5 of us.
It had cheeses, grapes, chicken and pesto sauce and the famous dinner BLT salad. We all enjoyed the taste of everything esp the salad.

The princesses were on their way and Aurora had just arrived when the waiter's assistant arrived with our lunches! He actually stood there holding the plates while they finished taking the pictures so as not to disturb the shot! He was awesome.

The princess came slowly around the room and we were able to eat in between. The princesses that day were-Mary Poppins, Aurora Sleeping Beauty, Jasmine and Belle in every day dress. The spent a lot of time-Aurora showing how to stand in her dress, Jasmine showing how to stand like an Arabian princess, Mary Poppins talking to the adults which a great accent! No rush at all.

May I suggest these later lunches? Most people were now arriving for early dinners and we had the princesses to ourselves!

As for the food:
I had the Major Domo pie and found it delicious. Very light crispy pastry shell and there was just enough beef and veggies. The other adults had the sandwich which they found ok-nothing special but they loved the sweet potato chips.

The kids both had the grilled chicken strips with baked pasta and veggies. One loved the chicken and hated the pasta the other loved the pasta and left the chicken-what can you do??

All in all I enjoyed the CRT lunch-It is beautiful. I doubt I would do it again unless with other little girls. I do not think it is worth 2 table service credits but I do think it is worth it once. I really do.

Thanks for your review of CRT. We're going for breakfast for the first time in August. Can't wait!!

Since we had CRT lunch so late-

We end up snacking our way through MK!

In Fantasyland we stopped at Mrs. Potts (?) for ice cream floats. I gotta tell you they were SO good. I had Sprite and vanilla ice cream. The ice cream is almost like ice milk not heavy and it kind of crystalizes in the soda.

Then we ended up in in front of Sleepy Hallow funnel cakes for the Spectro Magic parade. Perfect! We got funnel cakes, cokes and espresso to watch the parade. They were amazing. The line looks really long but it moves really fast so don't be discouraged!

You can get whipped cream on them but I am a purist and go for the sprinkled sugar.

The way they make them is like a well oiled machine! They were hot and fresh and delicious.

The espresso coffee was a real treat. It had gotten kind of chilly at night so it hit the spot for the adults.

The later just before the park closed we had spicy pretzels in Tomorrowland at The Lunchin' Pad. They were really good! They are large pretzels stuffed with cheese and jalepeno peppers. Not so much that your burn your mouth but just enough spice. They also had cream cheese pretzels and they looked just as good. There are lots of good seats in front of The Lunchin Pad. We relaxed there while 2 of out party went on Astro Orbiter.

I forgot to add about the desserts at CRT lunch-We all got the children's ice cream sunday with the chocolate crown even the adults! That chocolate crown was fabulous-They gave the adults an extra scoop of ice cream in a bigger bowl but we really didn't neet it-we just wanted the crown! LOL!

You were absolutely right in telling off those tacky "announcers". It's supposed to be an "experience".

Breakfast with Lilo and Stitch at Ohana

Do not miss this breakfast! It was the most fun ever. The kids march around the room with maracas. Lilo was very sweet and patient and Stitch was a very naughty alien!

You need to interact with Stitch to get the whole experience. Don't think if it as just a kid thing. We imitated Elvis, told him really bad jokes and he totally got into it. Yet I saw him with a shy little boy and he got down and was very patient with him. Great character interactions!

Mickey was there too and I think Pluto. ADR was for 9:20 but we didn't get seated for about 40 minutes-that was the only hassle.

Food is just fine- it is one of those skillet breakfasts with eggs sausage, bacon, bisquits with Mickey waffles brought over seperately fron the skillet. The juice is a great as they say with mango and other juices blended together. The pineapple bread was good.

It was nothing super special-just breakfast foods-it was hot and the waitress was very nice-always there with coffee or juice or more bacon & eggs.

It is what it is. If your skillet turns out a little cold ask for more food.

The Poly was beautiful and we left for Studios right after breakfast.

I'm glad you enjoyed your meal at the Castle. We've heard many great things about Chef Mickeys but our dinner was'nt very there, it was'nt very busy at the time and the food was sitting under the heat lamps. Staying tuned in for more. Linda :)

Toy Story Pizza at Disney Studios

Sigh-the kids wanted pizza but I thought it was awful. Doughy, burnt, tastless.

Salad was ok but pre-packaged. Ken's salad dressings were great actually with a good decent selection.

Cute place-keep the kids out of the game room-but as for the pizza-Yuck!

EPCOT Norway Storybook Princess lunch

Very early lunch ADR at 11:20 am- May I suggest the same for you. No lines to get in-Breakfast ending. The only thing is you sit in the side room since they are ending Breakfast in the main room but it was truly fine that way.

The girls changed into their outfits and we were off! First we went to have pics done with Belle in a fabulous golden yellow gown. The pics were not included during our time but I understand they will be soon. We bought them since they came out so pretty. Belle was super sweet-again no rush from her but the photographer was (again) a little abrupt.

We had a nice waitress who told us we had some time to enjoy the appetizer buffet before the other princesses came around.

Now I really, really enjoyed this appetizer buffet! There are things that anybody would like -cheeses (very mild), salami, all salad and all dressings, cucumber salad, mickey pasta salad, chicken salad. But then they had the most delicious lox and cream cheese along with herring in wine sauce and smoked herring. I adored it. It is food you have to like and it is different but it drives me crazy when people call it "weird" both on the boards and in the restaurant.

I had the lamb stew which dissapointed me greatly. It was teeny tiny bits of lamb with teeny tiny bits of cabbage! Hardly any taste whatsoever. I sent it back and happily had the appetizers.

The other adults had the special Norwegian meatloaf (begins with a "k") and it was very delicious. The other adult had the salmon open face sandwich and seafood chowder. It was really wonderful! If you like salmon get that dish!

The kids had the chicken -again no big whoop-they enjoyed the cheese and salami appetizers very much.

The princesses started coming around and Ariel was there!!! We were so happy and she looked adorable. We also saw Aurora Sleeping Beauty, Jasmine and....the big cheese herself Cinderella! Yep-she showed up for lunch. They were gracious, not rushed and had fun with the girls (Cindy stating she'd like to visit their house but GA sounded like a very long pumpkin ride!).

The desserts came out family style. This is where I can give you all a hint. During the middle of our eating our lunch the waitress plopped down the dessert plates with forks (not the actual dessert but getting ready for it). We asked her assistant to please tell her not bring the dessert tray out until we had finished lunch.

This worked out very well for us. The desserts were ok I didn't care for the rice cream but the kids did. We had an espresso cheese cake and a "princess" cake-Got me on the princess cake but I liked it a lot. It was very light and creamy.

Got to rest for a while-Got to point out that at every restaurant except for Ohana and Tusker House (review later) we were seated at a table for 4 with a an additional seat at the end of the table.

It actually was ok-I didn't think it would be but it was.

At Ohana we were put at a round table for 8 (!) and we got lost in it. At Tusker House we were at a table for 6 and it was fine also.

Great reviews- we have a late lunch at CRT which I was a little worried about- but I feel much better now- We also are doing Ohana breakfast- I can't wait - Jen

You know its funny I was totally crazed about the late lunch ADR at CRT-thinking the princesses would be in a rush to get out of there and all.

But it worked out very well. And the early lunch at Norway worked out very well also. Late and early seems to work with princesses!

Ours is at 2:45pm too- I can't tell you how much better I feel-thanks so much, ;) Jen
