I just got back from a 5 day US/IOA trip. Let me tell you , next time I will definitely stay on prem just for the FOTL access. Also, 5 days was too much. My 14 and 10 yr old were bored after the 3rd day. They are use to WDW, where u can stay for 14 days and not get bored.
Thanks to eveyone for the tips.....AAA card worked great.
Fast Express was the way to go.....we got there early and opened the park every morning.......

...Parking I thought was horrible, not run very well.
Other than that we had a great time.

Ghostbusters, and Beetlejuice shows were EXCELLENT!!!! Rocking with beetlejuice......! You go girl!!

Anyone have any questions...I can anwser...

*** as much fun as Universal was,,,,,Disney is run so much smoother ***

My twelve year old had a blast for our entire stay. Running from ride to ride. She didn't want to do Disney, to boring.

Thanks for the report...I am assuming you stayed on site? My son is younger so we are thinking he may need more time.

hi

of course there are more theme parks & water parks to attend at WDW but i find my older teens (16 & 17) have had enough of WDW:faint: me....i am a wdw nut & would never be bored
teens really enjoyed UO- there were more thrill rides and more of a "cool" atmosphere- WDW has become too babyish for them- even my 5 year old loved UO...but like his mom he is a true lover of WDW- we stayed 7 days & had the 5 day pass and i felt this gave us enough time without rushing

I find 3 full days about right for most of my trips.
You need 1 day before and after to travel. If you ran out of things to do, then there is SWF, Wet N' Wild, and dinner shows at night, like Dixie Stampede or Arabian Nights. If you have a rental car, I'd even say to drive the 75 miles to Tampa and visit BGT, especially next year when they open the new B&M Dive coaster.

We're staying 6 nights, but I don't think we'll get bored! We are staying on-site and I plan to take advantage of FOTL so that I can sleep in some in the mornings and I have a cabana from 8-3 on three days so that we can lounge by the pool. Another day we are planning to drive to the Gulf - particularly to Siesta Key - beautiful beach! When I'm at WDW, I never feel that I have time for pool lounging or driving to the beach. It seems there is TOO much to do and I feel compelled to cram it all in! I can't wait to to to Universal so I can lay back a little and still have fun. However, I still love WDW, but from now on I'm going to try going there in the off season.

Bored after 3 days?? Wow...I could *never* get bored that quickly... :teeth:

Glad you enjoyed the Ghostbusters and Beetlejuice shows!! Those two in particular don't get enough credit...and check out my website for pictures...maybe you'll see some of the cast you saw during your trip. :)

Thanks for the report! Bored at Universal??? Well, I never! Just kidding.

I have stayed for three and still don't think it's enough, so this trip we are going for 6 full days! But we want to enjoy the resort, pools, citywalk and the likes as well.

Thanks for sharing!

We too will be going for the first time next May and staying 5 days(off site.) My boys will be 10 and 13. I was worried 5 days might be too much. We went to WDW last year and 6 days was not near enough. We were thinking of a day at wet n wild or maybe going to WDW for a day if money permits. Anyway, what attractions did your kids like the most (since they are about the same age as my boys).

Thanks

Last time we stayed 14 nights at the Hard Rock - which meant about 7 either Universal/IOA and the rest all the disney parks plus Busch and SeaWorld. Certainly never bored!! :D ....couldn't have enough!:p

Marklar...my kids loved Spiderman, MIB, Earthquake and Hulk. They also absolutley loved the Beetlejuice and Ghostbuster shows, both a must see. Use the Express Passes whenever u can. ...Its not that 5 days was too much, just my kids are use to WDW with sooo much different things to do. The heat didnt help either, I think if we went in May like you, the 99.99 degrees with 100% humidity would not be so bad...lol...HAVE A GREAT TIME .

Its not disney, not run like disney,,but it is worth going back to again.

Thanks for the info. When we went to WDW we went during spring break (big mistake) so we had to do the parks commando style to try to do everything. Hoping to not have to do that on this trip. Thanks again and if you have any more advise I could use it.
