Just got APs - a few questions

We just purchased APs on our trip a week ago. We will be going to WDW again in June 2010 and staying at DVC on points. We might also be going in April, the week after Easter. Is there any chance of AP rates being offered the week after Easter? I didn't know if AP rates on rooms were only offered during slower times, or if they are generally available.

Also, do we need to register our APs or anything to be able to take advantage of any AP room offers?
