just got a reminder email to bank or use our points

after we booked our trip for what I believe was last yrs trip 2025 (sorry but Im really bad at figuring out UY) I banked our leftover points into I beleive would be next years trip 2027
we had a change and decided to go on a cruise for 2027 and bank our points so we have 200 for our 2028 trip

so I think this email was talking about the 7 points I banked but not sure

Im always afraid Im going to mess up with banking deadlines
If Im understanding right I have to wait till aug our UY before I can bank our 2026 points is that correct

also Id hate to lose those 7 points is there any other options what I can do with them

What is your use year? I think you are stating it is August?
If it is August and you are trying to bank points from 2026 you could do so as early as August 1st.

It sounds like you had 7 points that you did not use that would need to be banked by March 31st assuming it is August.
If you don't bank them you can move them to II (not sure if there is a minimum) or use them by July 31st.
You could purchase OTUP to grab one night if you wanted to.

Even though you are planning a cruise you never know if that gets cancelled so I would certainly bank them and then with OTUP you could book at least a night on the front or back end of the cruise if the plans remain the same.

Certainly call Member Services and they will explain the email to you.

It’s probably just one of those reminder emails they send out to everyone whether you actually have points to bank or not. If you’ve already banked those 7 2025 points they’ll be good for trips between 8/1/26 to 7/31/27, so if you want to use them then I would hold off on banking all of your 2026 points when you’re able to because there’s not much you can do w/ 7 orphaned points. As noted above, maybe book a night before your cruise depending on where your cruise departs using those 7 points + however many of your 2026 points you need & then bank the rest of your 2026 points after 8/1/26 .

This went to everyone with an Aug UY whether you still have points left or not. Its not owner specific.

Mine are all used and nothing left but I still got it.

Look at what it says for your 2025 UY and if it says there are 0 bankable points it’s means you already banked and can disregard it.
