Just got a minivan for $299

Sounds like a great deal in comparison to what I have been finding lately.

what was your bid? I just reserved a mini-van through Alamo 8/24-8/28 for $250. I was going to try priceline and see if I could get it any lower than that.

I bid $35. I had one reserved through Budget with the Travelocity code for the same price. I wanted one with a legitimate code and glad I got one.

Congrats! Did you try the alamo insiders? I joined it a few years ago and it has FINALLY paid off for me with a decent rate lol. I also tend to use codes that are "legal" for me..I would hate to use one and find out I wasn't eligible for it. I usually use National Emerald Aisle, but we have to have a mini-van this trip (6 of us) and I don't want to chance getting stuck with anything less than that b/c we won't fit in anything smaller. We were lucky our last trip and the National/alamo car attendent worked to find us a minivan even though it wasn't on the E.A. I don't want to tempt fate, thus the reservation with Alamo for the next trip. Hope you have a great trip.

We got Hertz. This will only be the second time we have used a rental vehicle. I don't even remember who we got last time.

Alamo with BJ's code just now.
8/18 - 8/28

7-Passenger Minivan
5-Door/Automatic/Air

Total all taxes and fees $312.40 :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

We just got back and I rented a midsize suv with Alamo from 6/22-7/6. Using codes from mousesavers, I got it for $333.00. They gave me a Dodge Journey that seated 7.

Nothing is wrong with it...I believe it was issued and meant for Travelocity employees. I would hate to get to the counter and be asked for proof that I could use the code. Thats why I was glad to get the same price through Priceline.

nope, it's a public code right off of their website. Glad you got an equal price from Priceline

Can I please ask where you got the BJ's code or what that is....We are driving this year so I am just starting to look for a minivan or something for the 7 of us from NJ.

Thanks so much!!

Dawn

Do you have a link? I have only seen it mentioned in forums. Someone on here did mention that they were told it was a Travelocity Employee code and were refused the rate.

Pretty good for a 10 day rental. I got a 7 day minivan rental for a total of $266 using Alamo and regular code, but no coupon as the coupons are not working for early August. Hopefully later I can add the coupon bringing my price even lower.

Anyone actually use the X474200 code. A few folks mentioned in might be an employee code. I called Budget and was told it was fine to use. Just curious since rates are so high.

There is a thread about this code. It is a public Travelocity code. People have used it. That is the code I will use also, unless I find something better.

Thanks! Ironically, I spoke with someone who just returned and did not have any issues.

Was pickup from Disneys Car Center or MCO? I have an Standard SUV for 10 days pickup from the car center for $351. I'd like the deal you got better though. :thumbsup2
