Just got a code email

I think it's great everyone is getting these email codes. I would LOVE to know why certain people continue to get them and others (like myself) who visit their sites, order their videos, shop their stores, etc... NEVER get an email! It' very frustrating.

I received the same email (so did my friend), but neither one of us had a code. I keep going back to that email and I still don't see anything. Maybe we will get one soon!
 
After reading this thread, I felt as some others do........how in the world do you get the PIN and code through email? The CM was very nice and even took my number and called me back. According to him...it is randomly done through the marketing dept. and he had no control over it. He said he did see that I had been emailed a code in Sept. which had expired. I don't remember receiving this code, but probably did like everyone else...deleted it. Now that I am looking for one, I probably won't get one. He said he figured that codes would be released for the April17-? but had not been done so yet. He tried to get me to book at full rack rate and wait for a code but I was hesitant and didn't. Gosh, please let me get one...and you all too!!!

are these emails like the postcards that used to be mailed? I used to receive those on occasion. But I haven't recieved and email.
 

I got a postcard a year ago and used it. So I think they still send the postcards.

I do think a factor is that I have frequently been an annual passholder, but no longer am. I have responded to a couple of their offers, which I think helps.

No advice on how to get ont he email list other than to buy an annual pass, and then let it lapse.

I got an email the other day and calle dto get the rates
the email rate was vvery good
i told her i wanted to talk to my DH and call back and she gave me a 3 letter code for when i called back

Did you have a PIN associated with the email? What was your rate for WL if I may ask? Thanks.
 
cra-z-4-dizney- I feel you pain :faint: We are only going to be in Orlando for a few days but we are staying at Disney. Why oh why can I not get a code for March????
 
My DH got one too. He seems to get them quite often. To bad we don't have a trip planed but it sure is tempting.
 
OH well, I guessed I missed out on this. We got the email and my son deleted it along with everything else that I had saved. I called Disney as others have said and was told they can't tell me anything without a code. That they have too many things going on. Darn it, I was so hoping to get the cheaper rate.
 
Count me in as not understanding how they decide who gets a code! I do all the planning, signing up for deals, etc., etc, and DH gets a code sent to his WORK EMAIL!! Guess I don't really care as long as we get one!! I was very excited when he forwarded it to me, because I was hoping to add one night to the end of a February package that is all booked and paid for. I had pretty much given up, figuring we'd have to stay off site, since it is only about a month away! $106/night for POR. Not the best rate, but better than rack, and they did just switch to peak season the week before we arrive!

Also, when I called, I never even had to give my pin #. I just gave our name, and DH's email address, and it pulled it from that.
 
I got the same code in an email this week. I called the same day, but the offer was sold out for the Polynesian, the week I needed in May.

Oh well... Maybe AP Rates will come out soon.
 
Sorry if this has been asked, but...

Those of you who have received email codes...do you have dates in common? What I mean is...did all of you who received codes get them all on Mondays??? or the first of the month, etc.?

Is there some pattern as to when they go out so that we can be even more diligent in watching for them? Are there any other commonalities that you have?

I suggest you call back CR after you make a res with any code to verify if it needs a PIN at the registration desk.
I feel your frustration, those of you who like me don't get the E-mails but I almost lost my Res at a rack rate which was hard to get in the first place.
But like I always say!

I gues it is all random, grrr it isn't fun waiting for a code! I did receieve that e-mail advertising the week for $1500 though. *shrugs*
 
Just to update everyone, we called back tonight and were finally able to use our pin code!!! It took lots of help and effort, but we finally got it. We had to switch from WL to AKL, but that was fine with us since we were debating splitting our stay between the 2 anyway. Also, since AKL savannah view was cheaper than our WL woods view, we were able to add 2 nights at the CR! We really wanted the Poly or CR initially, but they were too expensive for us to stay there 8 nights, so this worked out perfectly. Thanks to everyone for your help!
