Before this starts happening, I just want to ask everyone to please remember that DCL is the one making all the decisions in this situation. No one person has any control about when DCL calls them. Even the people just getting off the ships did not make the decision to allow their requests to be faxed from the ship though according to DCL those requests wouldn't be considered anymore as of last month.

Since my family is now looking forward to booking the August repo, I can appreciate the anxiety everyone is experiencing. Hopefully everyone who wishes will be able to book.

As screwy as things may be on Wed., I really am confident that everyone will get a ressie on the cruise they want ... whether or not they get the exact stateroom number they want is a different story, but like Lisa says "I'd rather be on the ship in an inside stateroom, than at home wishing I was on the ship." And there will inevitably be cancellations over the next several months, with staterooms becoming available later on ... so if you don't get the room # you want this week, you might be able to snag it later on.

Hopefully they will do what they did with the med cruises - they wont raise prices on day 1 of booking - this way we can all get in on tier 1 prices and wont be penalized incase people double and triple book with no intention of keeping all those ressies.

I think you are probably correct. DCL giving different information to different people gives rise to feelings of uncertainty for many of us. I guess we many of us are just expressing frustration at what by all appearances seems to be a less than fair situation. Sigh.....

We KNOW DCL monitors these boards. So I hope they are paying attention and care about the number of unhappy customers who are likely to flood their email and mail system with complaints. These are not isolated "errors", folks. I wish they were. Oh how I wish they were. I feel like our faxes are waded up into balls and picked like bingo balls.

well can only imagine how many people have been called...remember we are on here and there are only a few of us....and some of whom has already been booked....

Think the repo cruise will fill faster than the MR because there are only 2 trips for that...lots of options for the Riviera....one can only hope that the rooms that we want and dates will be there...

As another poster mentioned...we will get on but maybe not in the cabins we want....I will sail without a veranda but need a port hole at the least.

I want cat 6 so no one take that please till I post that I have been booked...thank you... you are all so kind

I think we might be outta luck since we only want cat. 2 or 1. But, like Soccermom said, she faxed that request in last March! Somethin' ain't right.

Hey Cheri, the suites on NCL's "Pride of Hawaii" are 4,390 sq. feet!
4 times the size of the Roy and Walt suites. Maybe NCL will let us book with them?!

I think they should look after all cruisers their staff and travel agents and stager the release of the 2008 cruises.
Say Repos first on 31st, the the 7 day meico ones a few days later, it will help the phone system and e.mail system as well.

Now Andrew, there you go applying LOGIC to a Disney situation again.

That would be the most fair way and lessen a lot of anxiety! If they would have just released the prices beforehand as they did with the Med cruise it would save those who would decide it was too much from calling also.

I explained my situation, that I have just gotten off of the Wonder and that the Re-Booking Agent faxed my request for both Repo cruises on Friday I just wanted tomake sure they had been received. The agent I got was very very nice and she put me on hold to get the answers to my questions.

She came back on and said I needed to speak with San Burch (anyone know her??) and that I would have to leave a voice mail as she is very busy right now (imagine that ). So I left a voice mail and I hope she will return the call!

The way I think it is for those of those that just got off the ship and requested the summer 2008 (from my conversation with the CM on the Magic last Friday night as well as the crystal ball I'm looking into):
They took our requests so we could get the on board credit. It had to be faxed in to the IC. A stroke of luck for us to be able to fax in our request. However, our requests would go AFTER those that already have their faxes in but perhaps (time will tell) before it is open to the public on Wed. So those that have their faxes in, I think it will be fair. Those that wanted to fax after Dec. 2006 but couldn't, perhaps not fair. Wonder what type of deal those on the ships now are getting??? Maybe they can book today since obviously some people are getting their reservations. Which case, a whole boat of people are getting there choices of cabins. Definitely not fair since they are already having the time of their life being on the ship!

Time will tell.
