Just got a call from IC!!

I just saw some people have been called--no call yet from our TA--thy put us on the witlist back in March of 2005. We are looking for a suite during the last 2 weeks of June. I'll be going crazy tile we get the call or email from our TA. She called earlier this week just to verify our preferences.

For mine, it's *72 to forward and *73 to put it back. Test it with your cel phone turned on.

My phone system uses *72 then dial the phone # you're forwarding to; *73 when you get home to undo. Maybe that'll work for you too!

I have been thinking the same thing... wondering... wondering... It also appeared they were east coast and in some cases questionable on whether they were interested. Although I didn't analyze it too closely, so I may have imagined a pattern that doesn't exist. I found it interesting that one of the first called was someone that specifically DIDN'T request a West Coast cruise? Maybe they are weeding out the "maybe's"! While us sure things will be in a second wave.... There I go with that self delusion thing again...

If I weren't on the DIS Boards, I wouldn't have known to fax Inventory Control....and I have a feeling most people wouldn't, either.

There are TONS (okay...not literally) of people here who sent in a fax...specific, non-specific, suite, non-suite......and it still seems interesting that only two got a call.
I'm not saying, by any means, that they didn't get a call....just wondering why so few.

I agree with you it seem weird. Just trying to speculate. I can't imagine how excited I would be and the first thing after I hung up, I would post. But of course that is just me since I practically live on my notebook computer.

Okay you guys are cracking me up - because I keep thinking the same things, only bouncing back and forth between the two like a crazy person. I first thought - well maybe they're not on the boards - then I thought, but how would they know about the IC? I'm sure there must be other ways of knowing - although I'm not sure how.

Judy - how are you? I SO want to do a repo - but we just can't swing it unfortunately. I especially wanted to when I saw you were looking into one! I was thinking of you the other day when I was looking at pictures to post - and there was the MOST adorable page of our two adorable little girls by the pool! So we're looking into another West Coast cruise. We all still talk about our cruising friends!

I am also thinking it is kind of strange that there has been no calls today. (or at least no one posted they were called) I remember last year for the Med cruises, the calls were being made like clockwork and folks were posting. This silence is just plain odd.

I emailed my TA who does a lot of DCL cruises and has manged to get us a suite by being on the list 5 times and she said to stop biting my nails and relax, she'll call me as soon as she hears anything.

I'll have to look back through at the dates people were called for--wonder if they have some type of plan?

I never would have known to request a suite so far out if it weren't for these boards.

So no one has gotten called today????

Well I just called back in the hopes of getting some kind of status, and I got the standard answer. There are over 400 requests and they are working them out and would call by Tuesday, but if they didn't, I should call back on Wednesday. Of course it opens for regular booking on Wednesday. I couldn't even get a verification that they actually have my IC request. So, I wait and wait and wait... and hope and hope and hope and hope!

I even put on the Sorcerer Mickey hat and waved a stick at the phone to no avail, although to the great entertainment of my children.

My TA emailed me that IC is claiming they are not making calls until 1/31 which to her and I does not make any sense. How on earth could you be making ressies at the same time while you are clearing the waiting list.
