Just got a call from IC!!

Wow! - the quote was $12,500 for a cat 3 for 4 people and $16,500 for a cat 1 for 5 people....without transfers, insurance etc. Too much money for my budget. :sad2:

I would have to say that the prices you stated sound similar to what I was told...ouch!....may have to change plans and go either 4 night DD cruise in August of reconsider the TGiving cruise in 2008 since its actually less expensive than Mexico.:sad2: :guilty:

Uh, oh. What Cat did you book? Would you mind sharing how much (at least a range?!) :scared1:

June 2005 we paid $10.5k for Cat 3: 2 adults, 2 children, 1 infant. $12.5k is reasonable considering 3 years and a rise in fuel costs, etc.

I thouht a Cat. 1 was usually $20,000 for a family of 4...
What did you book?

what??!! I have never heard of it costing that much!! Even for a cat. 1. I don't think even the med cruises cost that much!

Maybe this will make you feel better...
We booked our 6/05 mex riv. cruise on 10/9/04 and paid $6308.03 for 2A, 2K ages 4 & 8 in a catagory 9. This included insurance and some stupid processing fee of $19.95. (won't use that TA again!!)

I paid $5216 (w/o insurance or transportation or airline flights) for two in a cat. 6 on the 6/11/05 Mexican Rivera Cruise.

:surfweb:

Thanks. Maybe since I have only taken 4 night cruises I just didn't expect it to be that much...silly me.. I guess I will have to think about it. Did everyone think it was worth the money? :goodvibes

I am confused. What's IC and what's their fax number? How can you request a cruise you dont' know about? Thanks,

oh, well, I just found out, It's Inventory Control. Wish I knew about it earlier so I could be sure to get a handicapped accessible room for the Eastbound Panama canal Repo trip!

you posted on the other thread that you faxed on or after July?
I faxed on March 2nd. :sad1: where'e my phone call?

We paid approx $5100 for 4...two adults and two kids (3 and 7) for July 30, 2005, category 9. That price was total with taxes, fees, etc.

Hope that helps!

Lisa

P.S. Are you comfortable sharing what they said the cost would be?

Liseran
When did you book for 2005 Mex.?
Did you book direct w/ DCL?

I am not really sure how their system works. On my cruise meet thread, someone faxed before me and didn't get a call either. All I can think of is that it has something to do with me requesting a specific date. She didn't, she requested a time range.

If you get a call from IC and don't want the Mexican Riviera cruise, will they let you book on the Wonder? I put in a fax but we were wanting a Carribean cruise.

Can someone please tell us the fax number and phone number for
IC!!!!!

Thanks
PC

Where can I fax a request for a cruise that is not available for booking yet?
Inventory Control: fax #407-566-7739
Please note that currently DCL has stopped taking requests for the Summer of 2008 sailings.
