just got a call from Disney

we were at Disney from 8-8-12 and rode EE

my DH got very sick and I went to the nearnest spot to get help.


well to make a long story short the CM and all that helped were totally fantasic

with all that was going on I didnt take note of their names--well I had posted the whole story here and asked where I could get in touch with
someone who could find out who the CM were--Thanks to another DIS who gave me an address


today we get a call from Disney that said they apprecitated the letter and would forward it so it could be followed up so the CM can get credit they deserve for being so wonderful.

when I think of the happenings that afternoon and all what the CM did makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside

Its nice to hear that the compliments will get back to the CM who helped you that day, sometimes we all need a pat on the back

A couple of years ago, our daugther lost her purse (sp?) with several hundred $$$, her park ticket and DL inside. Our DD was just beside herself about loosing it, very tearrrry. When another CM noticed DD in such a state, they said it might have been found. Long story short, a CM had found it and turned it in to lost and found. Everything was inside the purse untouched. I wrote Disney a letter with the names of the CM's who had found the purse and those that had helped us. Disney called me and as appreciative of the letter and said that those CM's involed would be given special credit.

I have two point...first, I think it was wonderful of you to write a letter and second...I am so happy it will get back to the CM and they will get the credit the so deserve!!!

Back in November of 2001 we were at disney and it was my dd2 1st visit. She had a blanket that she loved to sleep with so we brought it with us. Well on the day we were leaving I thought it was in my carryon....lo and behold when we got on the plane it was not there!!!!!! Luckily my dd2's other favortie blankie was at home so I just figured oh well we lost one blankie (to me not that big of a loss, but to daughter very sad)

Forward to January 2002 I rec'd a package in the mail with Disney address. I opened it up, thinking what could it be, and there it was......Her blankie, freshly washed and folded. I almost cried.....daughter was so happy.

I made sure that I emailed disney to compliment there House Keeping on actually taking the time to take the blanket from the room, and figure out who was there on check out day! They did email me back and said that they would make sure that the person who took care of my room would be 'rewarded' for their service!!

Glad to hear that your dh is ok and also glad to hear that Disney actually reads their mail! I have two letters I need to write next week regarding two (good) events that happened on our recent visit. I wish I knew all the names of those involved, but I think they will be able to fill in the blanks.

OP - what was the turn around time for you to hear from Disney? I sent a letter about a week - 10 days ago (a good letter about a couple of CMs) and wonder if I'll hear anything?

the turn around time was just 2 weeks--

I mailed it on 8-17 and we got the call today 9-1

I made sure to take note I wanted to see how long it did take

Does anyone know if the CM that get appreication (sp) letters get anything

or does it help them get raises? just wondering

That was very kind of you to write the letter!

I know at the big company I work for, we read letters daily at store meetings and copies do go in the associate's file so we can use that on their yearly reviews, so they do affect their raises. They also get service pins and a gift card as a thank you.

I am sure WDW uses something like this. The fact that they contacted you says that they take letters seriously. I am sure the CM's who went out of their way for you will receive some type of recognition or award!
