Just got a call back from Universal...

I contact Universal a couple of weeks ago expressing my disappointment that under their rules I would not be allowed to go into WWOHP until the 19th June opening date since I bought before the Harry Potter package opened up.

An overly bubbly guest services rep called me to confirm that anyone who booked an on site stay before the Harry Potter package opened will also be admitted to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter between the 28th May to the 19th June, but they cannot promise that all the shops/ rides/ attractions will be open until the 19th.

I am very pleased they contacted me in person, and that I have a chance to do the WWOHP before it opens to the rest of the general public, even if I may not get to ride the new ride!

Just to let anyone else who has booked for late May/ early June before the package came out!

I don't know how they would tell when you booked your on site stay though just by looking at your room key.

I booked mine October of 2009 so I guess that means we'll be able to wander around WWoHP. Which is what I was hoping for.

I don't think I'll mention this to my DD. I don't want her to be disappointed if it turns out to not be the case. I'll let it be a pleasant surprise instead.

Probably because according to what the to the CM (or whatever Universal calls their employees) told the OP by ANYONE staying on site would be admitted. It wouldn't matter when they booked?
