Just got a 40% PIN Code!

i just got a 40% off PIN via e-mail...first time ever :cool1:!

my question is, can i use it to book more than one room, say if i want to book a room for my parents, and put both rooms under my name?

Yes you can book up to 3 rooms. We booked 2 rooms for December.

Update: I just booked 2 rooms for October. Needed one night before DVC stay and wanted the A/S Music Suite, but it was not available for the one night. I booked 2 rooms at Pop instead. I paid $63 a night per room before taxes ($71). This is actually a good rate because it is regular season and the room goes for $105 a night. The last few times they had AP discounts the weekend rooms cost more or were not discounted. This promotion gives me the same price for a Saturday night stay compared to a week day stay.

We received the previous 40% off pin (expired in March) for AP holders - we booked something for August. However, my husband said we received another postcard in which he tossed (thought it was a duplicate). I asked him if he remembered the code and he said possibly GWD?? (I don't think he really even looked at it that closely!!!:scared:). Can anyone tell me if that code sounds right? We're thinking of going in early December and would love to take advantage of the discount. The CM I spoke to wasn't very helpful - he said if I received one a few months ago, it's unlikely to get another one. :confused3

I got the AP pin code earlier this year (expired in March) and now I have this one too. The dates are similar, but there is a wider availability for the fall then the first pin code. It is tied to a pin number which would be under your name and address if you don't have it.

hmm I called today after I got this PIN to try to use it for our December trip and they said it wasnt available for the Cabins. :(

Anyone know anything else?

Well, i decided to call today, and my 40% PIN worked fine for the Ft Wilderness Cabins.. they said it will work on all resorts.

In fact, they didn't even ask me for the PIN when i called to book. Must of been attached to my name.

That's great news. I wanted the Family Suites and while they were part of the promotion, they were not available the night we needed it. We took 2 rooms at pop instead. It was nice not having to pay the weekend surcharge that some of the AP discounts charge.

What is a pin code and how can i get one?

I am booking a trip for september 2009 with the free dining can i get a pin code too and how??
Thanks

Hey, I am booked for Nov 15 - 21st with the 40% code I received earlier this year. My rate is $102 a night at CSR. Then I have 3 nights before Thanksgiving for $170 a night. Standard view room.

Is the $89 rate with the 40%code only for AP? I called to see if the rates had gone down, and the lady didn't know what code I was referring to and said that the moderate resorts are usually always over $100 a night even with codes. I asked but she said no....

So, how do I get $89 a night? :-) Okay, I just called back to see if any pins are associated with my account that I might have accidentally deleted from my email. CM said that as of Jan 1, they no longer keep this info. I asked what would happen if I got a pin, deleted the email by accident just 5 seconds earlier - couldn't he look it up. He said NO. Wasn't very helpful at all. Is this true that they can no longer see codes attached to your email? TIA

I don't know about the other poster, but we too got $89 a night at POR for December 4 and 5 (Friday and Saturday nights). We have a standard room. This is the rate before taxes. Perhaps you have a preferred room/or king room? Our season is value season. Is your season regular season, that too would account for the higher rate.

No, we have a standard room for 2 adults. I called twice and the reps were of no help on the phone. I don't understand how the 40% off rate for the same time period is $102 before taxes (regular price for this week before Thanksgiving week is $170) for me but $89 for all you guys. I was told that the regular rate before the discount hasn't changed since January (so this really makes no sense to me) If the reg room rate hasn't changed, how can 40% off vary??? Since CSR is regularly $170 per nite for Nov 15-21 then you guys with this new 40% code are really getting almost 50% off

You are going during regular season and we are going during value season. I just checked the season (dates) on the dis home sections.

http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/disney-rates-2009.htm#MODERATE

Your dates fall under regular season rates which run until Nov. 24, then they go into higher T-Day season. The next season is value season and those dates are Nov. 29-Dec. 17. This is when we are booked. Here's the full price of your room:

Regular season standard moderate room is $170 minus 40% = $102

Value season standard moderate room is $149 minute 40% = $89

Case solved.

Also, on phone was told this is ONLY for AP or FL residents. Looks like you live outside FL so are you an AP? From the looks of this thread, many who are not AP or FL residents are getting the code. Wish I had it.

Your dates fall during regular season with a price for a moderate/standard room at $170/night.....40% off would be $68.....which leaves a price of $102/night + tax. Value season rates are $149.....40% off would be $60.....leaving a price of $89/night + tax. So you're getting 40% off but you are paying a higher rate per night since it's regular season, while the ones getting $89/night are going during value season.

Yes, we are AP holders.

The difference may be the season.

$89 is 40% off of the value season rate $149. Value season runs August 9 - October 1. Rooms booked during those dates will be charged at the lower rate.

$102 is 40% off the regular season rate of $170. Regular season runs October 2 - November 24. Sounds as if your stay is in regular season, hence the higher rate than some other people are reporting. Hope that helps.

Ha, your question was already answered twice by the time I posted. What a helpful board!

You guys are all totally right - the reason I was so hyper about it is that I SWEAR I read either here or on a 'any Nov codes out there' thread that people who were staying the same time frame as me (reg season in Nov) got the $89 price. Now I can't find the posts..still looking for it. I guess though that the $102 price is the best I'll find.

I guess though that the $102 price is the best I'll find.

That is a really good rate for regular season, though! I havent been lucky enough to get a pin or an AP rate yet, so I'm still booked at the AAA rate of about $134 during value season (includes tax). Still waiting and hoping!

I just got my 40% pin code offer in the mail but of course it starts 8/23 and we're going 8/17. We definately picked the wrong week to get a discount. Hopefully, the rate after 8/6 still go down.

Have you updated your profile lately. The newer version on the disney website now has a place for you to enter your passholder number. In the past it never did. I went online and updated everyone's account and added the passholder number to their accounts and that has to be why I received SIX pin emails.
I want to thank you and others for mentioning this. We didn't receive this email and then it dawned on me we'd probably only registered my husband's AP when we first logged on to the Passholder website. Went back and updated his profile and registered my pass. Lo and behold, yesterday we received the 40% off AP offer snail mailed to my name! Yay! In less than 1/2 an hour after going out to the mailbox we were all set for the last week in August!
