Just got a 40% PIN Code!

I got this email yesterday and already booked my stay at Pop Century for last week of october!!! so excited..it will be my first time staying on the resort!!!!

I just got one e-mailed to me for my cousin. My e-mail address is registered with his account because I am the “keeper” of our group reservations. This works out perfectly because we needed a 4th room for our October trip to AKL! I already booked 3 rooms under a PIN that I received for myself, but I needed one more room at the $174/night rate. I wanted the group to be together, and now we are!

My cousin is not an AP holder for Disney, but he does live in Florida. The e-mail I got was the same one as Maukey that didn’t mention anything about being a Passholder.

I booked the All Star Movies Dec 3rd-6th for 166 dollars. I am not kidding.:yay:

Thats what I spend in Starbucks over a couple months! :rotfl2:

We're going to keep trying for Pop--the cast member said that people are calling and recalling and changing every 5 minutes. :lmao:

We're DVC members--but no way am I passing up this.

If you're trying for Pop, you may want to try another CM. We just booked there at the beginning of the week for part of the same dates. (We'll be there Dec 3-9), and I just pulled up the website. It definitely shows Pop available for those nights...

I signed up for Disney's email list a few months ago and just received the 40% off pin code earlier today! (My DH and I aren't passholders either, but we are FL residents). We were already booked for a standard room at the Wilderness Lodge but switched to a savannah room at Animal Kingdom for $100 less! I love these pin codes!!!! :cool1:

Just got mine today and booked 7 nights end of Aug at Bay Lake Tower!:woohoo:

I guess I'm just not with it, but could you tell me the address of the "newer version" on the Disney website? We have valid AP's and would like to have a shot at the AP 40% off room rates. Thank you very much. If you want to e-mail the information to me feel free to. Any info will be appreciated. e-mail address: gmerritt67@yahoo.com

Thank you.

Gary

Go to the disneyworld website and login. Once you login you will find the update your profile. After you scroll down there is a question if you are an AP holder. Once you say yes then a new screen opens and you fill out your AP information. As always the Disneyworld website is not the easiet site to use. Good luck.

DH and are passholders and we both got the 40% pin last night. Called up and got the discount on my current reservation. 3 nights at POR Thurs Sept 17 - Sun Sept 20. No issues with availability. We added the quick service dining plan.

I got the pin by email too!!

We live in Florida but we are not pass holders.

Three days ago I registered my husband's and mine dates of birth to get free admission on our Birthday. The following yesterday I received the email with the 40% off Disney Stay. Yeahhhhh.......Of course the bad side is that my husband's birthday in on 8/20 and the discount begins on 8/23 (Go Figure!). We wanted to spend 1 or 2 days over his birthday to get free admission. Now the dilemma is: get free admission and go to a skimpy off site hotel, or skip his birthday free admission and go during the days of promotion? I actually thought Disney made it on purpose to give us those dates so we couldn't get both offers, but then I read all your posts and realized that the dates are the same for everybody. :rotfl:

So those who made the reservations... we added dining but still only had to pay 1 night room rate for the deposit. Is this normal? Don't want our ressies cancelled!

You're supposed to pay $200 deposit for a package. I did not but that was only because my room rate for the whole reservation (one night only) was less than $200. If your one night room rate including the dining is over $200 they'll just take that for a deposit.

Make sure when you get your confirmation that you were switched to a package when you added dining.

wondering how anyone can get on a mailing list for any mass mailings that offer discounts.

I have not been to disney since 2001 and only been 3 times total.

Is anyone that is getting this mail NOT have an AP?

Is there anyone NOT living in FLorida.

I know you cant combine discounts-- 40% off with the free dining.

I'm NOT an AP holder, but I do live in Florida and actually got 2 email pin codes! First time ever receiving a Pin Code. Now all I have to do is convince DH that we need a trip to WDW in either November of December. :thumbsup2

Hmm, can you book room-only and then add dining later? I really don't want to be stuck with the package cancellation policies as we are not completely sure yet of our plans...

You can switch your room only to a dining package but you cannot book dining unless you have a package and are subject to package cancellation policies. This applies whether or not you are an annual passholder.

When you are more sure of your plans you can switch to a package with dining - you can do that up to 3 days before you arrive. The difference is that if you switch to a package within 45 days of arrival you must pay the package off in full as soon as you switch and you're then subject to cancellation fees.

That is what I wondered. I think we will do that since we are rather on the fence about adding dining anyhow, and then if there is no availability we will just do no dining. :)

Thanks!!

Has anyone been able to use the code on dates PAST 12/23? Say your trip 12/18-12/27, does the code cover all of your dates if checking in before the 23rd, or does the room go to rack rate on the 24, 25, 26 etc.? ( Which would have me doing a split stay after the 23rd ;))

Thanks!

Pam

The cone of shame - One of the funniest "bits" in the movie.

I booked room only for POFQ for 10/3 - 10/7 for $102/night + tax, and may or may not add dining (either regular or quick service) closer to the date. The CM did confirm that I had to do it 3 days before arrival. I think that is just a great option as room only only requires 1 night deposit and one can cancel up to 5 days before arrival with no penalty!

Thank you for the information, but I really feel stupid. Is the address of the Disney World website http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/ If this isn't correct would you let me know what it is. I don't see the update your profile anyplace. Again thank you for any guidance.

As long as you check in before the last date of the code, which in this case is the 23rd, it should cover your entire trip, up to so many days (like 10 or so). Someone please correct me if I am wrong...
