Just got a 40% off e-mail

I got at 40% post card but I guess because we wanted the meal plan it didn't apply? The rates that I was quoted were exactly the same as the regular rates online.

Something was messed up. The 40 percent is off the room. Then you add the package on top. You can have meal plan and get your discount. Call again and see what happens.

Call back. Someone messed up their math.

You should receive 40% off the price of the room. You can add in tickets and DDP-- their prices won't change. But your overall price should show a noticeable decrease.

We switched from the Contemporary to the Polynesian (no codes left for our dates at CR) and STILL saved almost $500. We could have switched to the Grand Floridian and saved $250.

If your original booking was at one of the Values, the savings won't be as large, since 40% of a smaller cost is a smaller number. But you should NOT be paying rack rate with the code!

We got the same deal in a postcard and I booked yesterday and got ASMu for $53/night and was able to add on tickets and dining plan.

:goodvibes we got 40% off for Aug. 18-23, but we never got an e-mail or post card. My wife called once a week for two months:) and we magically got a code. We are staying at AKL because of it:thumbsup2 . I say don't wait for e-mails and snail mail, call and call and call and eventually they must get sick of hearing from you and give you discounts:goodvibes

I was able to keep my dining when applying my postcard discount. I'm saving about 1,000 off the internet price.

who exactly is the email from, what is the official website? I get alot of DISNEY Insider???

Congrats on the 40% off code :goodvibes

I wish we knew the secret to getting the 40 % off codes.....Hopefully, one day, I can be a member of the 40%Club!!!

I'm glad I found this thread!

I just signed up for the Disney Visa a few months ago in hopes of getting this magic code, but still nothing!

Who/what number is everyone calling about these rates?

Thanks! I'm trying to convince dh to go this year for our 5 year anniversary. Our last time with no kids since they are only 2 months and 2. Any savings like this would surely push him over the edge!

There is a Disney Visa Code out right now-good for March 30-April 12. Would that help you? There is a thread about it with the three letter code for you to use. Hope that helps!:)

Do you have the AAA discount?

we got the code this past week, in an email. It says something like 40% for values and "select other resorts at varying discounts" (cant remember exact wording).... is this the one you booked your deluxes at? i just assumed that the deluxes would be less of a discount... maybe now i can convince dh to go back in dec...

I think that was the phrasing on ours, and we applied it to the Poly :)

Call and find out!

I have seen several times in this thread where people call. What do you say when you call? Do you just ask if there is a code by your name or what? We were just there a month ago and I obviously cannot wait to go again. My DH just shakes his head at me! What is the general consensus out there-to book on your own or go through a travel agent? We booked last time on line through Disney and thought we got a good deal but didn't have any discounts or anything. From what I have learned you have a better chance of saving some cash when you talk to someone directly. Any thoughts?

How does the AAA discount work? Does it discout the whole package. We have a4 night package with 5 day park tickets and the dining plan, for 1,670. Would it be 10% off that total? Thanks

Sorry, no such luck! Like the 40% PIN, it's off the accomodations only:

From www.mousesavers.com :American Automobile Association (AAA) and Canadian Automobile Association (CAA) members qualify for "room only" discounts almost year-round, though there are a limited number of rooms available for each date. You can generally save about 10-20% at the Disney resort hotels, depending on the season.

In general, the discounts run as follows:

During Value Season you can get up to 15% off at the Disney Deluxe and Disney Vacation Club resorts, or 20% off at the Value and Moderate resorts and the Ft. Wilderness campsites.

During Regular Season you can usually get up to 10% off at the Disney Deluxe and Disney Vacation Club resorts, or 15% off at the Value and Moderate resorts and the Ft. Wilderness campsites.

During Peak Season and Summer Season you can usually get up to 10% off at the Disney Deluxe and Disney Vacation Club resorts, or 15% off at the Value and Moderate resorts.

The only time AAA/CAA discounts don't usually apply is Holiday Season (around Christmas) at the Value and Moderate resorts.

You don't have to book AAA/CAA rates through the Auto Club. Room-only reservations with an AAA discount can be booked directly through the Disney Reservation Center at (407) W-DISNEY or a travel agent who specializes in Disney travel. Just ask if there is an AAA or CAA discount for your dates and resort.

AAA/CAA rates for all of the following year are usually released in the summer. 2008 AAA/CAA "room only" discounts were released on August 5, 2007.
