Just Got A 40% Off Code

So does the pin code have restrictions??
Like...buying a package or DP??

The code is for room only so you can buy just the room or you can add on a package. If you add a package of tickets/dining plan, etc. those things are not discounted - just the room. The code only works for certain dates though - not every day is available through 2008 but most months have some days (no May, June and July though).

Can anyone tell me can I book the room now with the 40% code I received and then add the tickets and DP at a later date?

I would like to know this too. We are thinking of adding the dining plan. When would I have to decide? Does it matter?

I don't see why not. I was given the option of adding it when I booked with the 40% off rate and I asked if the passes or dining were discounted or full price and was told full price. So, I can't see what the difference would be to add it later when you're still paying full price for it.

My CM told me it is easier to cancel the dining plan than to book it with initial reservation, so I booked a package with 40% off my room. Can decide later to drop it.

I just called and used the 40% off code ofr 7 nights at the Poly, but my question is, is the code only good for 6 nights or something? When I opened our confirmation I saw that the last night was full price (Nov 3.) I am not canceling or anything, because even with paying full price one night, we are still saving $960!!! I am just curious :confused3

That's strange, but maybe the dates below will tell you more:

Jan 6 - 17, 20 - 31
Feb 24 - Mar 5
Mar 30 - Apr 8
Aug 10 - Sept 27
Oct 19 - Nov 1
Nov 9 - 15
Dec 7 - 17

Thanks, that clears it up! Our last night is Nov 2, so it falls outside the dates. Any idea why those 8 nightS in November are blocked out?

Jersey Week. Kids in New Jersey are our of school for most of the week. It's almost like the whole state is at WDW!!

As soon as I typed the question i answered it for myself- Jersey Week, how could I have forgotten?! I just called and changed our dates to Oct 24-Nov 1. Oh, and BTW, I tacked on an extra night at the beginning....just in case. I can always cancel the one night, right??!?! I mean who can turn down 8 nights at the Poly for $2100?!?!:confused3

We went to WDW on property a couple years ago, have a Disney Visa, and a frequent shopper of all things Disney so I'm surprised I haven't received a code. I'm not quite ready to commit to an exact ressie but getting there. If I called only to inquire about a possible MIA code, do you think they'd give it an honest effort if I'm not booking a ressie?

I got the code!!! :woohoo:

I didn't get a postcard but after reading this thread I decided to call and see. I've never had one before and in the past when I've asked I've been told that if I had it I would've gotten a postcard. I about squealed and started jumping up and down when she said I had it attached to my name!

I booked GF for our December trip! DH walked in as I was on the phone and insisted on Theme Park view!! :cool1: We're saving about $800!

I'm so grateful. We never would've been able to get this resort with this view without the code! I can't wait!!!!!

Yes, definitely the way to do it. Last year we booked with the 40% off code offered around this time. I had the option to add the dining plan but did not. I called several months later and they would not let me add it. I tried several times and each CM said no. I don't know if I had it if I would have been able to drop it though. Never thought to ask.

When we called this afternoon, we immediately asked to just see if there was a code attached to my name, and there was!! The CM said she couldnt tell us what hotels were available, but we could ask her which ones to check- she was awesome and we are all booked for the Poly!! Rooms are filling up quickly though, so hopefully you can book soon! Good luck!!

Another failed attempt for me today. I was told that there isn't a code attached to me, my partner or my MIL.

I was told that a new batch of mailers with codes went out today.

I did the same thing when I was booking. At first I had my trip starting on the 2nd. And I couldn't use the 40% off even though the 9th-15th are included dates. So I just pushed it back to starting on the 9th.

I was just wondering what is so bad about Jersey Week? I am worried now. I will be there Nov.9-21.

I was there last year for part of Jersey and it wasn't that bad.
Soarin always had a 60 minute wait.

Oh, I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I sure hope I get one...

Finally got the code last night!!! We never received an email or postcard (after 8 trips to Disney, Disney VISA card holder, annual pass holders, registered on every website possible... not sure what the system is!) Over the past few weeks, I have called at least 5 times inquiring if a code was attached to my name and checked all the names in our family with no luck. Last night around 8:00pm I called and got a great CM to inquire about booking an August trip. I told her I thought that our travel dates fell within the promotional code. I said that I wanted to see if I may have overlooked something in the mail but I never really asked if we had the code - she basically asked me what code I was looking for! :yay: I told her we wanted the 40% off code and she asked where we would like to stay!!!:goodvibes We booked the Poly for 7 nights at $204/night! Tried Contemporary MK view since we had never stayed there, but it was not available. No problem, because the Poly is actually our favorite!!! I was so shocked when I got off the phone that I wasn't sure it was real until I received our confirmation email!!! :thumbsup2

Now the planninig starts.....:woohoo:

How strange is this? I just got this "post card" (ok flyer) in the mail yesterday. Kind of late since the Jan part is over. While it was in my name, my last name was spelled wrong (a common way to spell my name, but just not the way DH's family does.) The code is rather long.
This is our 1st code in the mail in years.

We are going in May with DVC points. We can only really go when DH is off work . (he teaches college.) We have to take DD who is in 1st grade out of school.

So now it has me really thinking about going for a mini trip sometime the 1st week of March (DH has it off and the code is good for that time.) We could only take her out for 2 days or so. hmmmmmmmmmmmm this is so dangerous!

I need to get out of MI for a few days. We are buying AP this year, so we could get them a bit early, go in March, again in May and next year Jan and it would all work out!

Anyone else going the 1st week of March with these code rates? Where are they staying and what kind of rates did they get?

Nothing for us. CM checked under my name and DH's name. Oh well, I'll keep hoping!
