Quick question, my family of four just returned from DL 3/30 to 4/3. We loved it. Now we ar e considering planing an extended familly (Total of 12) trip to the World. My parents got suckered a while back and own a timeshare through Star Island. Although they've never been back, i was wondering if this is a reasonable and affordable way to enjoy the World? Please be as blunt as you'd like, I want to know all the scoop on the timeshare and how close it is to Disneyworld. TIA. MJ

We have stayed at Star Island Resort several times. It is a very nice resort, but not real close to any of the parks. You would need two cars or a van to enjoy the area. Ask your folks to try to trade into Bonnet Creek Resort. It is right next to the Disney Carribean Beach Resort. It is not on Disney property, but inside the sign on Epcot Center Dr. BTW, we own timeshares at Disney Vacation Club (OKW), Marriott's Grand Vista, and Wyndham Resorts. We visit WDW 1 or 2 times a year - could never afford it without owning the timeshares. Don't hesitate to email me, if you have any questions.
