Just found this site. ? about bringing young kids to parks

I am so excited that i found this site! DH and i love UO/IOA and cant wait to go back. We have a 4 month old baby and cant wait to introduce him to all the fun.

My question is, at what age did you start taking your kids there? we love to ride all the rollercoasters so we are not sure about taking him until he is alot older and can participate but im not sure we can wait that long to go again!

Any additional thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! TIA!

In my opinion, it is much easier with a baby in arms than it is with a toddler. At the baby stage, they are pretty much just entertained by being with you and doing whatever. Want to ride a rollercoaster? The baby is not going to care if you do the baby swap. A toddler might. The slightly older ones will get bored and cranky more easily.

Having said that, we went in May with a 5 y/o and a not quite 2 y/o and had a blast. We couldn't do all the major rides because our guys aren't ready for that yet, but we still had fun. My kids have been going to Universal pretty much since birth! They were each about was 2 months old when we first took them to IOA. They have baby care for feeding/changing in each park. The baby swap is a great idea. When they get older, as RVGal said, you might have to adjust what you do. My kids are now 2 and 4 and spend a lot of time in Seuss Island and Popeye's boat at IOA, and Feivel's Playground at US. We are still able to get in some of the major rides with the baby swap. DD is 4 now and tall/old enough to go on Spider-Man and some others.
