I am in shock. I cannot even imagine what she is going through. This is a co-worker and friend of mine and I just found out. I had been out on leave since I had spinal surgery and wasnt here when she found out. They have given her 9 months to live. I cant even think right now.

I am not a religious person, but I know this family needs all the good thoughts, prayers or whatever else you can think of right now.

OMG :sad2: that is just so unfair

I can't even imagine...:sad1:

I have no idea what type of tumour your friends daughter has..I can only tell you this. A friend of ours was diagnosed with a Glioblastoma in his brain. He had surgery the same day of diagnosis to remover 'what they could'. He underwent the traditional Radiation and Chemo and chose to compliment this care with Homeopathic remedies as well. His Primary Caregivers told him he was wasting his time and was given 12-15 months to live. After the 12 months of care...he was through his conventional treatment and carried on with the Homeopathic. Weird stuff..Vit C infusions, Mistletoe injections etc etc, that was 5 years and 7 months ago. What can I say??

Eight years old, that is devastating. God Bless her...and may her prognosis be better than they are telling at this point in time. Medicine is not an exact science..and they are mere mortals. I hope they are getting a 2nd opinion?

OMG! how sad. They're in my thoughts and prayers.

OMG Jen that is horrible. I can't even begin to imagine the pain that they are going through. It is every parents worst nightmare. :sad1: I will keep her and her family in my prayers.

Everyone remember to give your kids extra hugs and kisses tonight.

OH wow. God bless Madi and her family. :sad1:

As a parent, I cannot even imagine. This is her only child as well.

We had a friend pass away from this same type of cancer two years ago. It is a terrible disease. My thoughts and prayers will absolutely be with your friend and her daughter. I am so sorry.:sad1:

I will add Madi and her family to my prayer list.. So sad..:(

Oh my goodness! I am so sorry. It seems to be an awful disease and from the looks of it, no has lived more than 3 years when they have been diagnosed with it. It just isnt fair.

I am so, so sorry. I watched one of my closest friends die of a brain tumor at the young age of 35 and I was (and still am) angry that it seemed so unfair. When I read the age of this little angel, it just breaks my heart. Prayers and blessing to Madi and her friends and family.
