Just for kicks...what IF I got a PIN code...

and I realize that's a big IF...but, there is 40% discount that has started to circulate for our dates (Mar 1-7). So, I said to DH that if we got one I would be tempted to upgrade to Club Level. After the 40%, we'd pay the same that we are expecting to pay for our Woods View (Wilderness Lodge). We are planning to take oatmeal bars, Pop Tarts, etc for breakfast. It would be great not to have to take those things, and have a little more variety. Plus nice to have drinks and snacks available. DH says, and he's right, that we could buy a lot of drinks and snacks if we just took the 40% off our current room. I just like to feel spoiled on vacation. I expect to have all the ADRs in place before we go, so don't think I will use the concierge. What do you think?

We've never gotten a PIN code, but in 2004 we were booked at the WL in a standard view room. Disney ran a special that year where club level was going to run us the same amount as our standard view room (at regular price) for the week . Needless to say, I took the CL room . Granted....we could have saved around $900 if we stuck with the standard room, but we decided to try CL because we were planning to pay that amount anyway for our standard room without any discounts......and I have to say it was a good choice for us . I can see your DH's point that a 40% discount on the room you have now could buy alot of snacks and other things, but we did enjoy the convenience of the lounge . It was great having snacks, pop, water, juice, etc. anytime we wanted it . I also make my own ADRs, so I didn't use concierge for any services. With that said, if it were me, I'd go for CL.....but that's just me . Good luck on getting a PIN code and also on deciding whether or not to switch . Either way, you'll have a great trip .

Well, there's always the new Club level at CSR. They have upgraded to queen beds too. Originally we had planned to stay at WL, but when I found out that for the same price as a standard room, we could stay Club level at CSR with new queen beds in a newly refurbished room that sold us. The new club rooms open in Jan. 09 and will be located in the most sought after section, Cabana 9b. Anyhow, just a thought - if you don't get a pin you still wouldn't have to pack the poptarts! But, I do hope we all get a pin - wouldn't that be great!
