Just For Fun: Most Disgusting Food at WDW

So I'm wondering, what is the most disgusting food item you've ever encountered at WDW, and did you eat it, pitch it, or return it?

The worst dish I ever had was at San Angel Inn in Epcot. It was some type of chicken dish. Horrible!!!

I agree with the turkey leg haters.

Agreed. Just seeing that pic that someone posted of a turkey leg is enough to make me

Definitely the food in Mexico at EPCOT. It's like they don't even try to appetizing. Yuck! I paid 100% for the atmosphere.

Agreed!

And, I'll also add that any pizza we've tried at Disney is awful.

His worst food at WDW though? The one and only time his parents took him and his sister to WDW, they ate at Pure & Simple inside the Wonders of Life Building in Epcot. I guess they all had some sort of vegetarian hotdogs (and they are all big meat eaters). It's been probably close to 20 years since they went and they all still talk about those nasty hotdogs. Maybe that's why they don't understand why we keep coming back :rolleyes1

:rotfl2: I remember those veggie hot hogs-I loved them!!! Was a die hard vegetarian back then. to each their own I guess....:rotfl2:

The summer of 2006 I saw an interesting dessert at the Sunshine Seasons at Epcot that I just had to try. It was dome shaped w/a choclate shell and I think the name had the word "Asian" in it. One bite and it was over! It had the oddest flavor especially for a dessert! ICK! :crazy2:

I'm vegetarian so I find this all highly amusing, but why a family of die hard meat eaters would order vegetarian hotdogs is beyond me. But I guess they got quite the vacation memory from them :rotfl:

The "baked beans" at Flametree....DH & thought they tasted like refried baked beans that were really sticky, dry, and just eeeeew. Everything else was good though!

The shrimp lo mein at Everything Pop Food Court. I love lo mein, but this was something else.

When I got back home I went to my favoriate chinese restaurant and ordered my lo mein. :cloud9:

The lo mein (and mos tof the food at the Pop Food Court) was pretty bad. The only things I had there that I liked was a sundae, a few of DH's fries, and a drink at the bar.

For me it's the burger at Sci-Fi. That was the most dried-up, blan, yucky burger I think I've consumed in my 45 years of life.

I mostly agree with everyone the following are pretty bad at WDW:

1. turkey legs
2. The ABC Commissary
3. lo mein at Pop was not good. I was eager to try it, but when I saw the server putting it together , I sort of knew already it wasn't going to be good.
4. I once had breakfast at Boatwrights: the eggs were worse than what I got at the POR QS - underdone cardboard, clearly cooked in a steam vat: not to order, and my strawberries and cream came with fake cream! I was so disappointed! I think they charged $4.50 for a couple of strawberries, fake cream and brown sugar! Yuck! It wasn't canned whipped cream, it wasn't even Cool Whip, it was a step below Cool Whip fake cream! And the number of strawberries for that price was pathetic! In addition, like all places at WDW, they don't have real maple syrup!
5. oh, the kids' meal at Pecos Bills with carrot sticks and celery. I thought this would be a good meal. I thought my niece was just being picky when she refused o eat them, but both were REALLY bad. the carrots were not sweet;they were bitter, and the celery was equally bad. Not the way to encourage kids to eat more healthy!

Sweet and Sour Pork at Yak and Yeti CS. Marble sized rock hard deep fried bullets with McD's sweet and sour sauce poured on. Toothbreaking for sure. What a waste of a meal!

In 1995, I had a frittata at the Crystal Palace that you could have bounced on the floor, it was so rubbery.

While I can't say I have ever had anything really disgusting at WDW, I have to say that the Nine Dragons is a very uninspired restaurant. There is nothing that they prepare that would get me to go back again.

Also, while I absolutely adore eating at Boma and go there several times a year, I think everything on their "grain" table is forgetable. I could live a full life without ever eating foofoo or pap.

The Brown Derby Grapefruit Cake- me & the DH were so excited about getting this on our last trip since we saw it on TV that it was rated one of the best deserts in WDW... it was pretty, we took lots of pics of it--- but it was NOT good.

3 Things...

1. The Brownies at Casey's Corner in MK. BLECH
2. Liberty Tree Tavern Dinner
3. Chicken dinner at Prime Time Cafe.

Liberty Tree Tavern!! Awful! What a shame, it has such potential. There is nothing fancy about the meat platter, all they have to do is cook it properly. Tastes like it's been reheated several times - so dry! That's why they give you so much gravy!
